Hi all

Hope you all have a wonderful Bermuda Day weekend – a few more things coming up this weekend that you might want to know about:

  • Newstead Happy Hour is cancelled tonight as they have a private function on – it will return next week.

  • There is a Summer in The City, Gibbons Company/Style Bermuda event, tomorrow from 12 noon until 4pm. This will include a fashion show, makeovers, giveaways, cocktail and cake samples, and prizes for the best-dressed customers.  Here is the flyer with full details.

  • Also tomorrow, Opus Cafe and Lounge are hosting a Trunk Show event from 7pm until 9pm to kick off your Bermuda Day weekend in style!  The Trunk Show is an opportunity for Bermuda’s best to promote themselves and for you to sample the finest of the island’s food, makeup, hair demonstrations, designer fashions, free taster cocktails plus door prizes.  Admission is free – here is the flyer.

  • If you’re not ready to finish the festivities after the long weekend, then Premier Distributors will be presenting a Wine Tasting Event at Nu/Bar at Beau Rivage on Tuesday, May 25th from 6.30pm until 8.30pm. This will feature the critically-aclaimed wines of Argentina’s Rutini Wines and will be presented by Rutini representative Alejandro Camus.  Tickets are $50, include a complimentary gift and available from  Here is the event poster.
