Morning kids!


Fairmont Hamilton Princess Happy Hour is over for the season but Newstead is still going until the end of the month!  Newstead invite you to celebrate Rocktober with them as they feature Working Title, Mohawk Radio, Gosling’s theme drink nights, prizes and more all month.  Here’s the flyer!



Starting this Wednesday, Barracuda Grill are introducing Champagne Wednesdays at Barracuda Lounge from 5pm every Wednesday.  $9.95 flutes of Lanson’s Brut Champagne, Bellinis, Kir Royals, Strawberry Bubbles and many more champagne cocktails, with bottle service starting at $50 per bottle.  Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lanson proceeds this month will go towards the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.  Here’s the flyer.


An installation of art created by children is currently on show at the Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation (KAF) 2010 Summer Camp Collection.  Each child who participated in any of the art camps this summer will have a specially selected piece on display.  The exhibit finishes on Saturday, October 9th with the closing reception on Thursday, October 7th from 5.30pm until 7.30pm at The Elliot Gallery.  Regular gallery hours are from 11am until 6pm.  For more details, see http://www.kaleidoscopeartsfoundation.com.  Here’s the flyer.



This Saturday, October 9th is the White Party at Moon, featuring live entertainment and DJs Bitzy and Fozzy.  Dress code, unsurprisingly is White Avant Garde and tickets are $30 in advance (more on the door) and available from info@unite.bm.  RSVP for limited bottle serviced tables.  Here’s the flyer.





The Showtime Four All Breed International Championship Dog Shows (Unbenched – under Bermuda Kennel Club Rules) is coming soon to Somerfield Academy.   The first show is on Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 at 8.30am, followed by the second show.  The third show will be on Sunday, October 24th, at 8.30am followed by the fourth show.  For more details, please see www.babc.bm.

So, it looks like there are NO Halloween parties on the Friday night this year?  Volcanic Productions presents Fright Night at Fort Hamilton (**UPDATE: This will now be on the grounds of the Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation which is on the corner of Jubilee Road & Parsons Lane, Devonshire) on Saturday, October 30th.  In addition to the legendary Haunted House, entertainment is provided by Langhorne Slim, The Butcha, DJ JenNYork, Pure Ignorance (Uzimon and The Butcha) and the Chewstick Jam Band.  Gates open at 8pm with live music from 9- 11pm and a DJ dance party from 11pm until 3am.  In addition to their main full service bars, this year, they will be introducing three special cocktail bars (a rum bar, a vodka bar and a tequila bar) each offering exclusive martinis and Halloween concoctions.  Tickets available at www.bdatix.bm and Jackson School of Performing Arts with proceeds donated to the Chewstick Foundation.  No mention of the price yet, I’ll update as soon as I find out.  **UPDATE:  Tickets are $50 each.  Here’s the video promo on You Tube.

Barracuda Grill presents the Deerfield Ranch Wine Maker’s Dinner & Wine Pairing on Saturday, November 13th (**UPDATE:  This has been moved to Saturday, November 20th) from 7pm sharp.  This 5 course pairing will feature wine maker Robert Rex from Deerfield Ranch Winery, an award-winning winery located in the heart of the Sonoma Valley, specializing in small lots of handmade wine from select Northern California vineyards.  The dinner will showcase Deerfield Ranch’s selection of boutique wines, paired with culinary creations by Executive Chef, Derek Myers at a cost of $150, excluding gratuity.  To book your table, call Kevin at Barracuda Grill on 292-1609.
