Hi kids!

 

  • It's Blooze Night at Dockies!  This Friday from 9pm until 2am will feature blues band Bones with Graham Pewter, David Skinner, Rick Hawke, Neil Burnie and Andrew Chamberlain.  Entry is $10 (free for ladies) and optional dress code is Santa/Elf.  Here's the link to the Facebook Event.

 

  • Any budding thespians out there will be interested to know that the Bermuda Musical and Dramatic Society (BMDS) are holding auditions between Saturday, December 11th and Monday, December 13th for their 2011 production of Fawlty Towers.  This will be at Daylesford Theatre from 11am until 1pm on Saturday and Sunday and from 5.30pm until 7pm on Monday.  Audition material and character lists are available on their website here.  The show itself will run from Monday, February 28th until Saturday, March 12, 2011 – mark your diaries now, I'll update with details as I get them!  **UPDATE:  This show sold out in record time before tickets were available to the general public**

 

  • The Chewstick Foundation will be producing a three-part a Song-Writers' Workshop Series beginning this Sunday.  Seminar I: Fundamentals of Hit Song-Writing will be from 3pm until 5pm at Chewstick HQ.  Seminar II: How to Protect your Hit Song will be on Sunday, January 16th and Seminar III: Songwriting Workshop will be on Sunday, February 20th, both from 3pm until 5pm.  Hosted by Richard Basset, President and Founder of the Bermuda Songwriters' Association, each seminar is $30, or $25 each if you sign up for all three.  Here is the press release with more details.

 

  • The awesome people at SalsaMania present one of their final parties of the year, White Christmas:  A Holiday Salsa Celebration, next Thursday, December 16th.  This will be at The Deep, Lido Complex from 8.30pm until 12.30am, with a free salsa lesson from 9.30pm until 10pm.  There is no cover charge and an optional dress code of white.  Here's the flyer!

 

  • Good news for spa fans/friends of spa fans – Willow Stream have partnered with Capital G to give you somewhere in town to purchase WS gift vouchers and spa baskets without making the long journey(!) to Southampton. Here's the flyer with details!
