  • A slightly different kind of Valentine's party can be found in the Fairmont Southampton Hotel, Poinciana Ballroom with the Nutty Nuptials Game, a take-off on The Newlywed Game.  This all kicks off from 8pm on  Saturday, February 12th.  Tickets are $35 and available from www.bdatix.com.


  • Some say the key to a good relationship is laughing together – if that's the case, you might want to get yourself and your beloved over to Nadanja’s Valentine’s Day Comedy Show at Fairmont Southampton's Mid-Ocean Amphitheatre on Sunday, February 13th!  Presented by Image Entertainment, this show will feature five international comedians – Louisville’s Spike Davis, New York comics Kareem Green, Del Harris, Damon Rozier, host of the night – that Crazy Crazy Jay – and, of course, Bermuda’s own Nadanja! The show starts at 8pm and tickets are available online at www.bdatix.com, $50 for general admission or $85 for VIP tickets which include priority seating and a gift bag.  They are also running an early bird ticket special – just purchase your tickets before February 7th to be entered in a draw to win a stay at the hotel on the night of the show.  For more information, contact 337-6501.  Here's the flyer!


  • More family-friendly fun can be found at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts on Saturday, March 12th. Presented by The Specialized Youth Arts Charity 679 and Bermuda Magic, Kids Music Fest featuring Canada's Children's Music Group of the Year, Splash n Boots will be performing at 1.30pm and 4.30pm.  Other featured artists will be announced and this show is best suited for kids between 3 and 10.  Tickets are $25 and available from www.bdatix.bm, Fabulous Fashions, The Money Shop and All Wrapped Up with part proceeds going to various School PTA groups.  More information on Splash n Boots can be found at www.splashnboots.com and more information on the show can be obtained from bermudamagic@myoffice.bm.  Here's the flyer!


  • Coming next month to Bermuda, the World Dancing Championships in the Poinciana Ballroom at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel on Saturday, March 19th and Sunday, March 20th.   On the Saturday night from 7.30pm will be the 2011 World Showdance Championships & Professional Ballroom Superstars. There is no live music but there will also be a chance for the public to dance to the recorded music.  Tickets are available from www.bdatix.com and cost $55 for general admission or $945 for VIP Tables seating 9 ($105 per person.  Sunday night from 8pm is 2011 World Ballroom / Latin Championship Finals & Professional Latin Superstars.  Again tickets are available from www.bdatix.com and cost $80 for general admission.  For more information see the official website at http://www.worldpromotionsinc.com/bermuda/ - here's the flyer!
