Ha!  Didn’t expect to hear from me again so soon, did ya?!

 

  • BIFF are closing out the 2011 Film Festival in style with the BIFF Wrap Party on Thursday, March 24th at Masterworks in the Botanical Gardens.  From 9pm until 1am, you can enjoy food, drink and art to the sounds of Joy Barnum & The Channel, Andrew Chamberlain and Mohawk Radio.  Tickets are $60 in advance from http://tickets.biff.bm or $70 at the door and the ticket price includes all food and two complimentary drinks.  Here’s the flyer!

  • This year’s St. George’s Foundation Spring Fling Family Fun Day will take place in The World Heritage Centre from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, March 26th.  Lots of family-friendly activities, such as music by DJ Brian Willis, face-painting, a bake sale, treasure tables, giant slide, bouncy castle and a wonder wheel, will be available aas well as free entry to the World Heritage Centre and the Deliverance replica all day long.  From 10am until 11am, there will be toddler tunes, a whistle-stop museum tour by train from 11am until 2pm, Mohawk Radio performing from 1pm until 3pm, a free seniors’ tea from 2.30pm to 4pm, Penny Raffle draw at 3.30pm and the Spring Raffle draw (grand prize of a Chevrolet Spark) will be drawn at 4pm. The first 250 people to arrive will recieve a free hot dog and drink.  For more information, see the website at www.stgeorgesfoundation.org – here’s the flyer!

  • For those of you who don’t know about it, Earth Hour is an initiative to switch lights off around the globe at 8.30pm on Saturday, March 26th.  To mark Earth Hour in Bermuda, Greenrock have organised a public gathering at City Hall between 7pm and 10pm.  There will be food vendors, exhibitors, fire and limbo performers, a Steel Pan band, an a cappella group, school choirs, a public art project  and BELCO essay competition displays to keep you entertained.  For more details, see their website at www.greenrock.org.  Here’s the link to the Facebook event.
