Morning Troops!

  • First up, a bit of an announcement as the very first Nothing to do in Bermuda? event will be in a couple of weeks!  Start forming teams of 4 for the NTDIB Neon: 1st Charity Golf Tournament!  Arrival is at 8pm and the game starts as soon as it gets dark (around 8.45pm).  Bring your own refreshments (glass is discouraged for obvious reasons), a flashlight and 3 to 5 golf clubs (unless you want to rent some there).  Glow-in-the-dark golf balls will be provided.  This is a rain or shine event so you might want to plan your outfit accordingly – although costumes are definitely not discouraged!  Prizes have been generously donated by the lovely people at Premier Distributors.  The cost is $50 per head and $10 proceeds will go to CADA to help with their tireless work in encouraging responsible alcohol behaviour. Tickets are available now from - just shoot an email to once purchased to let him know who is in your team.  Tickets are on sale until June 7th, although I expect them to sell out before then.  For anyone who wants to continue their Friday night in Southampton, The Cellar are kindly offering a free drink to all participating golfers.  Here's the flyer and here's the link to the event on Facebook!  **UPDATE:  As an added extra, Bacci are doing a little BBQ for us beforehand, from around 6.30pm. The cost is $20 a head.  Just shoot me an email at if you'd like a copy of the menu.  **EXTRA UPDATE:  This event has now sold out due to many awesome people buying all the available tickets – yippee!!

  • To coincide with the visit of the Pied Piper cruise ship group, Rumbar presents Sybil Barrington, Queen of Bermuda, on Thursday, June 2nd.  There are drinks specials all night long with showtime at 7.30pm and then throughout the night.  Here's the flyer!

  • After the success of this event last year, Snorkel Park Beach are throwing another Heineken Wet and Wild Party. This will be on Sunday, June 11th from 7pm until 3am and they promise that this year will be even wetter and wilder! Prepare to get wet as soon as you walk in (so dress accordingly and bring your own towel) as this will feature swimming pools, Slip n' Slides, water guns, snow machines, bubble machines, foam machine, sprinklers all over the dance floor and beach, YGS Heineken Girls, party Cups, Beach Ball and much more. Admission is free for ladies in bikinis before 11pm, otherwise it is $20 in advance or $30 at the gate. With only about 800 mountain gorillas (Gorilla beringei beringei) left in the world today, MGVP works to ensure the health and well being of every individual gorilla possible. MGVP’s international team of veterinarians, known as the Gorilla Doctors, is the only group providing wild mountain gorillas with direct, life-saving medical care. The evening begins with cocktails at 6.30pm, music from Samite at 7pm and the lecture from Dr. Mike Cranfield from 7.30pm until 8.30pm. Tickets cost $20 and are available from  Here's the flyer!
