Morning ladies and gents!


Lots coming up but this one is going to be of particular interest to fans of independent and international cinema:


  • With the powerful message of Stop the Violence Bermuda, KO Productions present the first ever Legends Game on Friday, May 6th.   This will start at 7pm and will be followed by the Bermuda Corona League vs. the Premier League game at 9pm.  This all takes place at the BAA Field and will also feature music, fun castles and other activities.  Admission is $5 and part proceeds go towards Youth Vision and Koac - here's the flyer!


  • Anyone patiently waiting for Harley's at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess to reopen?  Then you're in luck as they are back in business on Tuesday, May 10th from 6pm.


  • The monthly Ciné Club from L'Alliance Française des Bermudes will be showing Un Prophète on Tuesday, May 10th.  Tickets are $5 for members, $8 for non-members and $3 students.  Full details can be found at


  • The next in the Historical Heartbeats series of lectures is Uplifting the Human Spirit: A Talk with Sharon Wilson.  This will be next Thursday, May 12th at Bermuda College (Hallett Hall, H-100) at 6pm, preceded by a reception at 5.30pm.  For more information, contact Folklife Officer Dr. Kim Dismont Robinson on 292-1681 or see  Light refreshments will be served – you just have to bring your own drink containers.  Here's the flyer!


  • The members of The Kardias Club invite you to their 2nd Annual Tea with a Twist – billed as a modern and elegant version of the Club’s traditional Springtime Coffee Morning which they have hosted for the benefit of local charities for over 10 years. This event will be on Saturday, May 14th at the Fairmont Southampton at 3pm and will include a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival, Afternoon Tea (served with a selection of traditional tea sandwiches, cakes and pastries), cookies by Ariel Bakery, a Fashion Show featuring the latest summer collections from the Calypso Group, jewellery and accessories for sale (by Cessie’s Hats, Alexandra Mosher, and more), plus Latin music for your entertainment.  Tickets are $55, available from and proceeds will be donated to P.R.I.D.E.   • Bermuda Docs is a wrap for the moment but the next edition of their Weekend Film Series will be on Sunday, May 15th.  Documentary Bill Cunningham New York will be showing at 3pm, followed by Italian film, The First Beautiful Thing, at 5pm. Tickets are $15 and available at Oceans Gift Shop or by phoning 297-7314.


  • The next edition of the BIFFlix Monthly Film Series will be a screening of the film Love Etc. on Thursday, May 19th at the usual venue of BUEI at 6.30pm.  For more details, or to buy tickets, please see
