August 10th, 2011

Morning everyone!

Now that all our tanks are full, it would be really good if it stopped raining before the weekend!  Here's what's happening on the Rock over the next while:

  • The Bermuda National Gallery (BNG) is currently exhibiting the post-Impressionist art of French artist Elisée Maclet. This self-taught artist has a similar style to Van Gogh, characterised by bold brushstrokes and vibrant colours.  The series of artwork on display shows the evolution of Maclet’s style from simplified contours to greater architectural detail and his developing mastery of perspective.  Entry, as always, is free and the exhibition closes on Saturday, August 13th at 2pm.  Just to warn you, there are renovations going on at City Hall but everything is still open, even if it looks a little crazy - you just need to go up the back stairs.

  • Business Bermuda are offering a free CV Writing & Interview Skills Workshop on Thursday, August 11th.  This will be from 12.30pm until 3.30pm in the Conyers Dill And Pearman Board Room, 2nd Floor, Richmond House, Par-la-Ville Road.
