Happy Friday Kids!!

Anyone else feel like this week has been ridiculously long?!  Ugh, roll on Happy Hour:

  • First up, a quick update about NTDIB Neon!  A big thank you to Premier Distributors who have once again agreed to be sponsors – you can help me show them some love by visiting their website at www.premierbermuda.com.  I am also pleased to announce that the charity recipient for this one is New Beginnings.  This is a great new charity which gives young people access to education and professional development - here is a flyer with more information on them.  Only two team spots are left so snap 'em up quick at www.premierticketsglobal.com because you don't want to miss this!

  • All you drama queeens (and kings) out there – get yourselves along to auditions for Famous for Fifteen Minutes! This is the 10th annual playwright competition from the Bermuda Musical and Dramatic Society (BMDS) and presents six short plays, from a variety of genres, each lasting 15 minutes (hence the name!) at Daylesford Theatre. I have seen this show a few times and the plays are always at a really high standard. Auditions are Monday and Tuesday next week, August 15th and 16th, at Daylesford Theatre, and audition material and character descriptions are available on www.bmds.bm. Remember they are short plays and there are 15 parts to fill so it's a great place to start if you've always dreamed of treading the boards. The show itself will run from Thursday, August 22nd until Saturday, October 1st (with no performance on September 25th). The Gala Night is on closing night at 6.30pm with a pre-show reception with food and drink. Tickets are $25 or $75 for the Gala Night and will be available from www.bmds.com from September 15th.  Here's the flyer!  **UPDATE:  The show has been postponed until early next year due to an insufficient number of male auditionees.
