Happy Friday Troops!

Welcome to my very last post of 2011!  Whichever option you choose to welcome 2012, I hope you have a wonderful celebration – very quick one today, just a couple of events to let you know about:

  • One last NYE event to report for tomorrow!  Sounds of Sanctuary/Spanish Town Entertainment are hosting some free and family-friendly New Year’s Eve festivities at No. 1 Car Park on Front Street from 7.30pm until 2am. As well as an outdoor screening of Dolphin Tale and a special kiddie land, there will also be vendors selling food, soft drinks and NYE party favours. Local entertainers such as The Troika Players, Working Title, Canjelae Taylor, Gavin Sundjata Smith, Ramon Clarke, Joy Barnum, Milton Raposo, Ras Giorgis, Star Child, Ollie, Wanda Raynor, Taariq Tucker, Live Wires and Zion are all confirmed performers and there will also be the traditional Bermuda Onion Drop at midnight, followed by a fireworks display over Hamilton Harbour – here's the flyerr!

  • Now, for another event to keep you guys out of trouble in 2012 – the Chewstick Foundation invite you to attend their 9th Anniversary Celebration Fundraiser on Saturday, January 7th at City Hall Theatre. This will kick off with a welcome reception at 7pm, with the concert itself starting at 8pm.  After the show, there will be a Gombey procession leading back to Chewstick for the Anniversary AFter-Party.  Tickets are $30 for regular, $100 for Patrons and are available from Kit 'n' Caboodle, Rock Island Coffee, Chewstick HQ or online at www.premiertickets.bm - here's the flyer!
