Mwah, mwah, mwah to you all!

In case you’re wondering, I am sending you kisses in observance of Lips Appreciation Day!  This is probably a holiday invented by lip-balm manufacturers but let’s go with it anyway:

  • It seems like there is a bit of a Harvard invasion of Bermuda going on right now. As well as Hasty Pudding Theatricals, who are performing Commie Dearest this week, The Harvard Krokodiloes, Harvard University's oldest a cappella singing group will be performing at Blu tonight. Performance times are 7 until 7.20pm and then 8.20 until 8.40pm. Blu have also extended their Early Bird Special until March 31st so if you dine before 7.15pm, your two-course meal (starter and main, or main and dessert) is $29.75 per person (plus 15% gratuity) or $34.75 for all three courses. Let me know if you’d like the flyer.

  • Coming soon to City Hall Theatre is Magic Fest 10. I have never been to this before but it is being billed as Celebrating 10 years of the beautiful Art of Magic – a Family Event. Featured artists include Puck, Chris Capehart and Will Roya, alongside the best of Bermuda's magicians and variety artists. This will run from March 26th until March 28th and tickets are now on sale at bdatix.com – $35 for adults and $25 for children under 18.

  • Anyone still looking for a way to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day tomorrow?? Lemon Tree are kick-starting the festivities with Guinness, Irish Whiskey and green beer from 9am(!), as well as a traditional Irish breakfast and lunch.

Quick Recap:

Commie Dearest – March 18th to 20th

Bermuda International Film Festival – March 18th to 25th

You have to read the part about his breakfast experiments – I’m really hoping he’s being ironic!  Hysterical regardless:

Morning all!

What is the surest sign that summer is on the way?  It still being daylight when you leave work?  The scent of jasmine in the air? A suddenly huge selection of swimwear in clothing stores? Wrong:

  • It’s almost time for the Renegades RFC “Ship of Fools” Booze Cruise!! THAT’S how you know that summer is almost here! Tickets are $60 in advance, available from darragh.odonoghue@citi.com, or $70 at the boat. As always, the price includes all you can drink. Let me know if you’d like the flyer.

Morning all

What a beautiful day! No matter how busy you are today, make sure that you at least get outside for a walk at lunchtime.

Just a quick note to let you know that the list of films showing at the Film Festival is finally on http://www.biff.bm/now_showing/films_temp.html – let me know if you need a cinema buddy as I like going to as many as possible!  The schedule isn’t up yet but that must be coming very soon since the tickets go on sale on Wednesday.

Morning all!

It’s not raining – the world is good!  Let’s hope we have a decent weekend for a change:

  • Elite Brand Solutions presents Yele Yele Haiti Benefit Party tomorrow night at the Wine Cellar. Dress code is Red, Blue or Black, admission is $25, doors open at 10pm, with drinks specials until 11pm and $3 shots all night long. Tickets are sold at Sasch, Sound Stage and Limelight Barbershop, or call 333-1727/238-3156. Let me know if you’d like the flyer as this is a great cause.

  • The Bacchanalian Society of Bermuda are holding a “Power of Three” Wine-Tasting Night on Friday, March 12th at Masterworks in the Botanical Gardens. I haven’t been to one of these before but it sounds like they have a really interesting way of doing it. All you have to do is assemble a team of 3 people, decide as a team your favorite bottle of wine, each person purchases the SAME bottle of that favorite wine (that's three bottles per team), then bring it with you to the venue and the tasting begins. The varietal for this event is Australian White. Tickets are $20 and available from bdabacchanalian@northrock.bm or 291-1474. Proceeds go to Masterworks, let me know if you’d like the flyer.

  • The Mariners RFC Mad Hatter’s Rugby Easter 7’s After Party, which will take place in the Mariners club on Saturday, April 3rd. Tickets are $50 in advance, $60 on the door and are available from any player or online at www.premiertickets.bm. As in previous years, this is an all-you-can-drink event with prizes for best hats. Let me know if you’d like the flyer.

  • I also have spa and room offers for Elbow Beach for anyone who is interested?
