January 6th, 2016: Bermuda Events Update
Happy New Year, Kids!
I hope you’ve all had a great start to 2016 so far and I wish you all the best for the year ahead. This time of year can be fairly quiet but, never fear, there is still plenty to do in Bermuda.
Here is the latest update on Bermuda events for 2016:
There are two new exhibits opening at the Bermuda Society of Arts (BSoA) in City Hall on Friday, January 8th.
BSoA are excited to welcome in 2016 with another Members Show. The upcoming members show will call on member artists to exhibit works from their inspiring time off in the Onions Gallery and Studios A & B.
The Edinburgh Gallery will exhibit works from their ongoing Life Drawing class, giving us a peek into the excellent work they have been working at week to week.
The opening reception willl be from 5pm until 7pm on Friday, January 8th.
Opening hours are from 10am until 4pm, Monday to Friday, and from 10am until 2pm on Saturdays. The exhibits will run until Tuesday, February 2nd.

If you will be making a commitment to your health for the New Year, then you’ll be interested in the Eight Apples Lecture on Monday, January 11th.
The lecture will be an overview of naturopathic lifestyle principles available to everyone – and calculated to restore and maintain optimism health without the use of medications or surgeries. As such, it promises to introduce attendees to the very simple, practical changes that they can introduce either themselves, or under the guidance of our practitioners.
It will be an empowering message, interspersed with good humor and there will be free snacks and water at the door. Bermuda is suffering from poor health, in spite of all the money spent on healthcare. It is time for Bermudians to take charge of their own health and wellbeing – and this lecture will provide the first steps on that journey.
The lecture will start at 7.30pm in the Tradewinds Auditorium.
Tickets are $25 and available by calling 294-0204 or visiting Oceans Gift Shop at BUEI.
