This is Bri, filling in for Claire while she’s on vacation – don’t worry, I’m here to make sure that you won’t miss any updates on the latest events to be added to the Bermuda Summer Calendar in her absence. Radnor Road Christian Fellowship’s Vacation Bible School will run from Monday, July 4th until Friday, July 8th.
This will run from 6pm until 8:30pm and is open to all aged 2 to 102.
There will be Puppet Ministry for early birds at 4:30pm, Christian Community Speakers at 5:30pm, and dinner served nightly.
This event is free and you can sign up on the day.

Grab a sweet deal every Wednesday night at Robin Hood, when Kids Eat Free!
From 5pm till 10pm, kids under the age of 12 can enjoy a free meal from the kids menu when accompanied by a paying adult. Per every adult entree, you get one free kids entree (main course only). This promotion will run until the end of summer.

Come and join a group of people who love to have fun and enjoy a night of painting at a Painting Seahorses Party on Saturday, July 8th.
From 6pm until 8pm at the Civil and Military Lodge on King Street, you will be guided step-by-step to take home with you a beautiful work of art. You are welcome to bring beverages, wine or snacks, if you choose, and are asked to wear appropriate clothing or bring an apron.
This painting class is suitable for all ability levels and no experience is necessary.
The cost is $55 per person and you will be provided with brushes, paint, a canvas, even wine glasses to use.

Bring your chair and/or blanket and enjoy a night of movies as the Corporation of St. George’s presents Movies in the Square, on Friday, July 8th.
Starting at 6:30pm in King’s Square, this promises to be a full fun evening with a DJ to set the mood, followed by two movies under the stars. Zootopia will begin at 8:30pm, followed by the second film, The Intern.
Refreshments will be available for sale.

Every Friday night, join Louis and Friends for a Night of House and Techno at Muse Restaurant and Skybar, on Front Street.
From 8pm onwards, you can watch the sunset over the harbour while enjoying the smooth vibes of DJ Louis Muloka. July 8th will feature Louis and Tim. This event will run weekly until the end of summer, with the exception of Cup Match Week when the event will be moved to Wednesday, July 27th.
Entry is free. Drinks are $5 for beer, $6.50 for wine and $4 for soda.

Designed to take enthusiastic children and their guardians into the world of puppetry, the BSOA are hosting a Paper Puppet Workshop on Saturday, July 9th.
From 10am to 4pm, kids will be shown an easy and enjoyable method to puppet building, as well as how to put on their own puppet show adventures. The skills learned in the workshop can be carried over into playtime immediately, allowing children to start building their own puppets the moment they get home.
The cost per child is $40 for members, or $45 for non-members.

The Bermuda Arts Centre Dockyard are opening their latest show 32N 64W on Sunday, July 10th.
This is a juried members’ show, featuring small works in all media.
Local painters will create works inspired by Bermuda scenes and scenarios for this revolving show which will run until August 9th. As a work is sold it will be replaced with new work, to offer repeat visitors a new look every time.
Admission is free. The Arts Centre is open daily from 10am to 5pm and is wheelchair accessible.

Ready for tee-off? The British Open Golf Tournament at Royal Troon is attracting golf aficionados from all over the world this week so, if you’re in Bermuda, head to Fairmont Southampton to watch the rounds and indulge in a few specials from Sunday, July 10th until Sunday, July 17th.
Jasmine Lounge will be featuring a special menu with Classic Beef Wellington and Sand Trap Cocktail from July 10th until the 17th. If this gets you in the golf mood, hit a few balls yourself next door at the resort’s Turtle Hill Golf Club, a Par Three 18 hole Championship golf course.

Children between the ages of 5-13 can exercise their creativity this summer at the Masterworks Kid’s Summer Art Camps with the next one beginning Monday, July 11th.
Starting daily at 8:30am, the camps will run weekly at Masterworks until September 2nd, with the exception of CupMatch week from Monday, July 25th to the 29th when there will be no camp. Each week kids will have fun creating up to 15 pieces of art influenced by Masterworks own collection. There are two teachers and two assistants for each group of 20 kids, and all teachers are SUNSMART and SCARS accredited.
The cost is $300 for members, $350 for non-members and $375 to sign up with an annual membership.

Discover a different night out at Fairmont Southampton’s Wine & Design, on July 15th.
Starting at 7pm in the Poinciana Foyer, this new event is the perfect cocktail of creativity and conversation, suitable for persons 18 years and older. Combining wine and hors d’oeuvres with art supplies, the event will be led by local artist Carlos Trott, who will give tips and instruction to help you create your very own piece of art to take home at the end of the night.
The cost is $69 per person.

Committed to curating unique lifestyle experiences, Bungalow 56 will host Janet Feder in Concert on Friday, July 15th.
The first show will begin 6pm at Bungalow 56, opened by “Queen of Drums” Onika Best and the second show, at 8pm will be opened by Bass player Derek Symonds.
Janet Feder is widely known for pioneering composition for prepared guitar and has been featured on numerous recordings, radio programs and film scores including the international acclaimed solo album Songs With Words.

The July edition of the Bermuda Docs Weekend Film Series will be on Sunday, July 17th in the usual location of the Tradewinds Auditorium at BUEI.
Our Kind of Traitor will be showing at 3pm. This is a spy thriller starring Ewan McGregor and Naomie Harris.
This will be followed at 5.15pm by Tickled, in which a filmmaker investigates a story that is stranger than fiction.

Enjoy a night of laughter with Def Jam vs Comicview vs Bad Boys of Comedy at the International Comedy Show on Friday, July 22nd.
Showtime is at 8.30pm at the Ruth Seaton James Centre, preceded by Happy Hour from 5pm until 7pm at The Grand.
Hosted by comedian Sleepy Floyd from New York, other international comedians who will be performing include Kenny Williams, Barbara Carlyle, and Nema, with Bermuda’s own Eddie G and Robert Somner.

Come out for a delightful evening of fun and trivia at the Learning Disabilities Association of Bermuda Quiz Night on Saturday, July 23rd.
From 8pm to 11pm at Docksider’s Pub, you can help and have fun at the same time! This event will be hosted by Mike Bishop, and is organised by the Learning Disabilities Association of Bermuda to raise funds and increase their efforts in the community to support families and advocate for better educational and health services. Part of the proceeds will go towards a LDAB scholarship.
The cost is $50 per team with a max of 5 people allowed. There will be many raffle prizes and tickets can be purchased on the day.

If you’re looking for something different to do in the evening, you want to meet new people or perhaps learn a new skill then you might be interested in Art with a Twist on Tuesday July 26th.
From 6.30pm to 9pm at Masterworks, you can create your own masterpiece to take home whilst sipping cocktails in an inspirational setting. Led by local artist Adrienne Smatt, each workshop has a different theme and for the month of July she will be working with acrylics. Come alone or with a group, but you must be 18 years or older as this adult workshop will be paired with cocktails provided by Twisted Spoon.
The cost is $100 for members and $125 for non-members, which includes all materials and two cocktails. Class size is limited, so you are encouraged to book your spot asap.
