The Yoga Centre invite you to attend Yoga for Grief Relief Professional Training on Wednesday, April 26th.
From 1.10pm, this 1/2 day workshop (4 hours) is intended to nurture the appetite of those wishing to continue with this professional grief relief training in the Fall 2017. A somatic psychotherapeutic process using yoga techniques to address the physical, mental and spiritual symptoms of grief towards the re-identification process that follows an important loss. This professional training is suited for yoga teachers, yoga therapists, health and mental healthcare professionals interested in adding yoga techniques to their existing toolkit.
This workshop is taught by professional grief specialist, yoga therapist and author of Yoga for Grief Relief, MA, CMT, RYT Antonio Sausys. Antonio is a somatic psychotherapist and somatic health practitioner. He is a popular presenter at Kripalu. This event is sponsored by The Yoga Centre in conjunction with Friends of Hospice.

Open to all levels, The Yoga Centre are offering a workshop on Yoga For Men’s Health on Wednesday, April 26th.
Antonio Sausys, BA,MA IGT, RYT is a somatic psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience integrating psychotherapy and the teachings and practice of yoga.
In this workshop from 5.30pm, Antonio will work directly with men on the “how to” maintain health and wellness – body, mind and spirit – using the practice of yoga. This workshop will emphasize the invigorationg aspects of the practice and its effect on the most intrinsic aspect of being a man. A one hour men’s yoga session will apply.

Turtle Hill Golf Club Loves Ladies and invite you to come for Ladies Golf Lessons and Social Play every Wednesday throughout the summer from April 26th.
From 5.30pm until 6.30pm each week, you are invited to join for a fun golf lesson with a focus on the shortgame. Beginners are welcome.
The lesson is $20 and is followed by free golf. There is an extra charge for the golf cart.

Hear local favourite duo Prestege Band performing live at Bone Fish every Thursday. From 8pm until midnight, you can listen to the smooth sounds of Tall Ed and Preston.
Finish off the weekend in style with Spanish Guitar and a Local DJ at Bone Fish on Sundays. From 1pm until 5pm, you can enjoy magical Spanish notes with their own Randy Lambert. This unforgettable experience will be accompanied by food by Chef Filippo. Then from 9pm, a local DJ will play some of your favourite hits.
There is no cover charge and these events will continue weekly until the end of October.

A new exhibit is now open at the Bermuda Society of Arts (BSoA) in City Hall.
The Bermuda College proudly presents its 15th Annual Art Exhibition. The Art & Design Department continues with the objective of showcasing works, created by present students, involved in contemporary explorations of thoughts, themes and techniques. The work displayed includes two and three-dimensional forms, film, installation and performance art.
Opening hours at BSoA are from 10am until 4pm, Monday to Friday, and from 10am until 2pm on Saturdays. The exhibit will run until May 16th.
Admission is free, although donations are appreciated, and all are welcome.

Saltus Grammar School invite you to join them for a wonderful evening of music performed by their talented student musicians as they present their A Little Bit of Everything Concert on Thursday, April 27th.
Starting at 5.30pm in the Upper Primary Hall, there will be a number of groups performing including the Wind Band, Primary Wind Band, Junior Orchestra, Stringendo and Junior Choirs, along with recorders and string programmes.

Try a music and movement class created for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers at Zumbini on Saturdays, April 29th or May 6th.
From 10.30am at 20 Union Street, upstairs Hendy’s Laundromat, this will be full of music, dance and educational tools for 45 mins. Music is fun and when we enjoy ourselves we learn without knowing we are learning. Zumbini is a program that gives children the freedom and confidence to grow as they develop their social, motor and cognitive skills.
This is a free trial class and participants must register in advance.

There have been 12, 808 reported road crashes between 2009-2015 in Bermuda. Chances are, this Unspoken Epidemic has affected you and your family in someway. You are invited to a series of screenings of A Piece of the Rock: The Documentary throughout April and May.
This poignant documentary will look at the effects road traffic incidents have on individuals, families and Bermuda on a whole, socially and economically.
On Saturday, April 29th, there will be a Screening & Panel Discussion at noon at Liberty Theatre. On Sunday, May 7th, there will be a Screening & Panel Discussion at 4pm in BUEI’s Tradewinds Theatre. On Saturday, May 13th, there will be a noon Screening at Liberty Theatre. Finally, there will be a Screening & Panel Discussion in BUEI’s Tradewinds Theatre at 4pm on Sunday, May 14th.
They will be serving a complimentary drink and snack at the screenings.

Promising a week to remember, the 20th Anniversary of the Bermuda International Film Festival (BIFF) will light up the Earl Cameron Theatre at City Hall from Monday, May 1st until Sunday, May 7th.
The Film Festival will feature a dozen of the world’s best independent full-length films, plus a daily Happy Hour at 5pm each day of “Bermuda Shorts” films from the nearly 600 submissions for the Oscar® Qualifying series. The afternoon Filmmakers Lounge is in the Bermuda Society of Arts (BSoA), with several Filmmaker events planned accessible with a Festival Pass ticket. The Opening Reception will be on Monday, May 1st and the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, May 6th, both will be held in the Bermuda National Gallery. BerMovie day is Sunday May 7th and free to all, starting at 2pm with an Americas Cup Set.

The Bermuda Musical & Dramatic Society (BMDS) proudly presents its latest production, The Trials & Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Wife by Del Shores, Joe Patrick Ward and Sharyn Lane, opening on Thursday, May 4th.
Del Shores, that grand master of Southern lowlife sensibilities, once again culled his Texas roots and came up with a winner. Down but not out, Willadean Winkler attempts to transcend the mean existence inflicted on her by cruel-to-the-bone hubby J.D.
Del Shores manages to fully explore Willadean’s horrific plight while infusing the work with such hilarity the audience is often reduced to tears and laughter within the same breath.
Directed by Nicola Flood and produced by Theresa Hall, the show will star Stephen Notman (J D Winkler), Brooke Burfitt (Willadean Winkler), Kelly Gilmour (Rayleen Hobbs), Samantha Smith (La Sonia Robinson), Sheila Smith (Blues Singer) and Tom Ray (Pianist).
This show is for a mature audience only, aged 18 and over, due to the strong adult language and difficult content.
Showtime is at 8pm each night and the show will run from Thursday, May 4th until Saturday, May 6th and then from Thursday, May 11th until Saturday, May 13th.

Now in its 30th year, join in the fun of fundraising at the XL Catlin End To End on Saturday, May 6th.
This annual event brings our entire community together for a day of camaraderie from St. George to Dockyard – all in support of Bermuda charitable organisations. This 24.1 mile walk starts at 7am in St. George’s (or 10am from Albuoy’s Point in Hamilton for the 14.7 mile Middle-to-End) and ending in Dockyard. Alternatively, participants can choose to cycle, row or swim for charity.
The registration fee is $50 for adults and $30 for youths under 18 years of age. The fee includes a t-shirt, a back pack (filled with great gifts) , a water bottle, event #, food and beverages along the way, entertainment and a medal at the finish. Enjoy a a night of fun and adventure on the beach at Sleeping Under the Stars on Saturday, May 13th.

Thousands of extra visitors will be here watching the sailing, and millions of people around the world will be watching Bermuda and all of us on TV. All residents are encouraged to show off our island paradise by getting involved with Clean Up for the Cup on Saturday and Sunday, May 13th and 14th.
A special trash bag is being mailed to every home. You can then fill that special bag with litter that you and your family pick up from a nearby street, park or beach at any time that suits you over the weekend of May 13th and 14th. You would then tie the bag shut and put it at the street for collection.
