All are welcome to attend the Hamilton Parish Council Public Meeting on Wednesday, November 8th.
This will be held at 7pm at the Aquarium Education Room in Flatts. On the agenda will be the Property and Land owned by the council, Shelly Bay and Railway Trail, Scholarships, Parish Clean Up and a presentation by Belco.

Back by popular demand, BUEI Films present a second showing of Heal on Thursday, November 9th.

The film begins at 7.30pm in BUEI’s Tradewinds Auditorium. Harbourfront are offering a 10% discount (food only) to anyone dining there before or after the event. Reservations are required. Open to songwriters, lyricists, and music composers across Bermuda, the Live, Love, Life: Stop the Violence Competition will take place on Sunday, November 12th.
This event is designed for schools, individuals, and community groups to create a song that inspires the community by promoting a message of non-violence in our community. Contestants have created and rehearsed their song entry in preparation for this finale performance at 7pm in the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium. Performers will be judged by a panel of Government and Community stakeholders for the chance to win the grand prize.
They are also looking to provide $5,000 worth of prizes in support of this initiative and welcome any assistance you are able to offer.
This is a free event.

BUEI Screens invites you to a screening of Viceroy’s House on Sunday, November 12th.
New nations are rarely born in peace… India, 1947: Lord Mountbatten (Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville) is dispatched, along with his wife Edwina (Gillian Anderson), to New Delhi to oversee the country’s transition from British rule to independence. This PG-13 rated drama has a running time of 106 minutes.

Restoration Fellowship will host the 2017 edition of their International Prophetic Encounter from Wednesday to Sunday, November 15th to 19th.
This will begin at 7.30pm at the Fairmont Southampton on the Wednesday and this year their theme will be Moving in Prophetic Faith, based on James 2:20. “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?”
They encourage you to join them with expectancy and excitement as they look forward to experiencing a move of the Prophetic Faith.
The Opening Service will be at 7.30pm on Wednesday, November 15th. In addition to nightly Evening Services at 7.30pm (6.30pm on Sunday), there will also be Morning Services at 10.30am on the Saturday and Sunday.
Registration is free.

The 21st edition of Pechakucha Bermuda will take place at Spanish Point Boat Club on Thursday, November 16th.
From 6pm until 10pm, you can enjoy another great opportunity to listen to entertaining presentations on a variety of topics, presented in a quick, easy-to-digest format.
PechaKucha Nights were started in Japan and have a 20×20 presentation format where each speaker shows 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images. Since there is no pausing or going back, speakers have no choice but to keep to their allotted time. Following each presentation is a 3 minute 40 second Q&A session with the audience.
Doors open at 6pm and the show will start at 7pm. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. They will have J&B’s Wood Fired Pizza on-site, with options for vegans, vegetarians, and meat lovers alike, so you can get your pizza, grab a drink at the SPBC bar, and enjoy the presentations.
Admission is free, however donations are welcomed and all are invited.

Enjoy a night of fun, shopping and giving at the KatKids Night Market on Friday, November 17th.
From 5.30pm until 9.30pm at the BAA Gymnasium, this annual event raises funds for children in Nepal and Southern Africa through the sale of unique gift items from these countries. The items on sale will include art, textiles, jewellery, holiday decorations, and much more.
While you shop, enjoy Nepali food, happy hour drink prices and a silent auction in a great atmosphere.
Tickets are $10 and are available from www.KatKids.com or at the door. Proceeds will go to the Eliza DoLittle Society, helping to feed Bermuda’s hungry.

Mark Dr. Edward Harris’s retirement while raising funds for the National Museum at Out with a Bang on Saturday, November 18th.
From 6pm at Commissioner’s House in Dockyard, you can enjoy a night of cannon fire, hearty fare, fort games and revelry.

Chapel of Ease invite you to eat well while raising funds for a good cause at their Thanksgiving Supper on Thursday, November 23rd.
From 4pm until 7pm in the Church Hall, you can enjoy a home-cooked and plentiful thanksgiving dinner with all the extras, including dessert and a homemade roll. You are invited to come early before it’s all gone.
The cost is $10 for children and $20 for adults. Cash only will be accepted and funds will go to fix the church hall.

This will run from 9am until 2pm at the New Venture House Parking Lot on Mill Creek Road (same location as FedEx) and all proceeds from rental spots will be going to support a family in need with a Christmas hamper.

From 10am until 4pm at St. Paul’s Christian Centre, you are bound to find that perfect gift idea from one of their 28 vendors. There will be edible treats, art, jewelry, ceramics, ornaments,quilts, lamps, cards, knitting, Bermudian books, cloth bags, woodworking,mosaic art, soaps and scents. There is also a kitchen providing Bermudian cuisine.
There is ample parking at this centrally located venue, which is also wheelchair accessible, so you are invited to come and spend a couple of pleasant hours shopping, cash and green bags in hand.

The Craft Market will be hosting its ever popular Christmas Taste Fair on Sundays December 3rd,10th and 17th.
This will be running from 1.30pm until 3.30pm in the Cooperage Atrium on each of the days. There will be a charity tree for people to make a donation to this year’s recipient, The Salvation Army, and in return they will provide you with a festive frog to hang. The Craft Market will provide tasty treats, including rum cake, swizzle taffy, pepper sauces, Frog & Onion’s Chowder , ginger beer and Carol’s Cassava Pie. In collaboration with the Dockyard Brewing Co, beer samples and beer nog will be offered, and they promise that beer nog is delicious so you should come try it. There will also be crafters on hand to talk about and individualize your gifts for Christmas giving and a table prominently displayed with gift and stocking stuffer themed items.
Their partners the Frog & Onion will of course be serving lunch and having live entertainment and Santa will be in town for those dining in the pub.
