Looks like September is shaping up to be a pretty busy month – here are the latest Bermuda events:
A great opportunity to get tips from an expert as A.S. Cooper & Sons Limited are welcoming a Lancôme International Consultant today and Thursday. To book your free beauty consultation, call 295-3961 ext. 405 and you’ll also receive a free gift with any purchase over the value of $60.
There are but a few weeks left of boating season so you had better make the most of it before it’s gone! Luckily, there are THREE cruise options in this post alone that are coming up in September. Here’s what’s happening in Bermuda:
I already let you know about the Moonlight Movie Series having a Labour Day Weekend screening but they have managed to sneak in an extra one tonight! Movies in the City will be at #1 Car Park on Front Street with family-friendly fun from 7pm, and the movies showing when it gets dark. The early feature is The Lorax (Rated PG) which will start at 9pm, followed by Battleship (Rated PG-13) at 11pm. For more information about the Moonlight Movie Series, call 295-4917 or visit www.moonlightmovieseries.com.
I am kind of shocked and distressed to find out that it isn’t Friday yet – is anyone else having a really long week or is it just me? Anyway, enough complaining from me, here are the latest Bermuda events:
Last time was such a success that they’re making it a regular occurrence! Worldwide Wednesdays at Ten is an offering of live entertainment every other Wednesday, starting tonight. M. Brian Swan (live samples, groove box and bass) and Nicola Swan (vocals), also known as 1Undread, will be performing from 6pm until 8pm with food and drink available at Happy Hour prices between 4pm and 7pm. For more details, contact 295-0857 or ten@yellowfin.bm.
Big news – there is a fancy new NTDIB website coming very soon! I’m sure you’re all very excited but do try and restrain yourselves somehow.. In the meantime, I’ve been experimenting a little with the old one so that now the flyers show up right in the post – just click on them to enlarge. All (constructive) feedback is very welcome:
The Rainbow Alliance of Bermuda is hosting Speak Out: An Open Forum on Friday, August 17th from noon until 2pm at Queen Elizabeth Park (the park formerly known as Par-la-Ville Park). The Alliance is a collective of people concerned with the lack of space given to LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) people in Bermuda to speak out, especially in discussions directly affecting their own rights. This is their first open forum and it aims to provide safer spaces for LGBTQ people and their allies to express themselves and also giving people the chance to tell their stories, show their support for the LGBTQ community and to simply come and listen. All are welcome, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. If you are interested in expressing yourself (can be through speech or song) or volunteering at this event, you can message them at rainbowalliancebda@gmail.com or send a Facebook message – here’s the flyer!
Hope you all had a wonderful Cup Match and have fully recovered by now! If you haven’t fully recovered yet then you probably want to get yourself checked out by a doc as it was kinda a long time ago..
Ten are offering some live entertainment tonight as M. Brian Swan (live samples, groove box and bass) and Nicola Swan (vocals), also known as 1Undread, will be performing from 6pm until 10pm. As usual, food and drink will be available with Happy Hour prices between 4pm and 7pm, so it’s a good excuse to have an extra glass of wine or cocktail. For more details, contact 295-0857 or ten@yellowfin.bm – here’s the flyer!
