An exceptionally quiet post for you this week but I expect to be completely inundated as soon as Cup Match is over. Here’s the latest update of Bermuda happenings:
My Sereni-Tea exclusively presents what they describe as an enticing, delightful temple gathering in honour of the Ancient Goddess and Warrior on Friday, July 25th.
Masquerade Candlelit Lounge: Awaken the Goddess and Warrior will begin at 7.30pm and will include champagne and exotic strawberries, yummy light bites, chocolate fondue tower, Greek and Roman decor, Goddess and Warrior attire, mini massages, Goddess readings, silent auctions and prizes.
Tickets are $50 per person and must be purchased by July 22nd.

Spicelands Equestrian Center now offer a group Happy Hour Trail Ride, daily at 5pm until September 30th.
This will be a one hour scenic beach trail ride along the historic Railway Trails, onto the dunes of the South Shore beaches. You can also expect some great information and a few folk tales along the way from your guide.
Upon your return to the stables, you will them be invited to indulge in a glass of swizzle or wine.
The cost is $105 per person.

Grab yourself a bargain at the Bermuda National Ladies Hockey Team’s Jumble Sale at Mount Saint Agnes Playground on Saturday, July 26th.
This will run from 9am until noon with books, toys, baby items, furniture, household items, clothing, accessories and more on sale.
Proceeds will assist team participation at the CAC Games in November.

Author Lindsey Walker will be signing copies of her book, You Be Me,I Will Be You, at Cobb’s Hill Methodist Church on Saturday, July 26th.
This will be from 3pm until 7pm and some snacks will be provided.
There is no cover charge and the books will be available for $10 each.

Dance to the music of the 60s, 70s and 80s, while raising funds for the Bermuda Arts Centre at Dockyard, at the Somerset Summer Pop-Up Dance on Saturday, July 26th.
This will take place at Watford Sports Club from 8pm, with music courtesy of DJ “J Bird”.
Tickets are $15 on the door and a cash bar will be available.
Showcasing Bermuda’s hospitality industry by engaging kids in a fun and meaningful way, the Bermuda Hospitality Institute are offering their Miles of Smiles Summer Camp from Monday, August 18th until Friday, August 22nd.
Miles of Smiles is one of the most intimate Summer Camps with only 12 kids each week. The camp is open to young people aged between 8 and 13 and participants will learn about and experience all the wonderful aspects of Bermuda that bring visitors to our shores.
The camp will run from 8.30am until 4pm daily. Every day starts off with a lesson in hospitality at the Bermuda Hospitality Institute’s offices on Church Street (through the glass doors next to Crow Lane Express, on the Penthouse floor) before heading off to off to explore, interact and have fun though a variety of special activities, as well as behind the scenes access that they otherwise would not have.
Some highlights include hotel tours, golf lessons, private cooking lessons, and stand up paddle-boarding.
The cost is $325 for the week, which includes all the activities and limited financial assistance may be available. Every week includes one lunch at minimum and campers are required to bring lunch daily except where noted. Swimming ability required where noted.

One of the few times when it’s okay to judge people based on their appearance, the Bermuda Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation presents the 27th Annual Night of Champions on Saturday, August 16th.
This will take place at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts and admission will be $20 for the prejudging at 10am, $50 for the main event at 7pm.
