Learn how to write fiction, anecdotes, poetry and much more at a Creative Writing Course every Wednesday on the top floor office at Daylesford Theatre from 7pm until 9pm.
Whether you want to sharpen up a piece for publication, or simply enjoy writing for pleasure, you will learn techniques that will make your writing the very best it can be.
This is an ongoing course and new people can join at any time.
The fee is $95 every six weeks but you are invited to try out a class before paying.

The new exhibit, Our History in Hats, is currently showing at Bridge House in St. George’s.
Donna Pink and Ronnie Chameau have recreated twenty eight hat styles that were worn by Bermudian women from 1700s to the 1950s. The show will run until Thursday, April 30th.
Admission is free and opening hours are 11am until 4pm, Wednesday to Saturday, and from noon until 4pm on Sundays.

The West Indian Association (Bermuda) invite you to their Annual General Meeting from 5.30pm in the Manchester Unity Hall on Thursday, March 26th.
At the AGM, they will hold the election of officers for the 2015 Management Committee. All financial members may stand for election.
Nominations for the posts of President, Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer and positions for 4 Committee Members are now open and must be received by Monday, March 23rd. Bermuda College presents their Spring 2015 Lecture with special guest Lillian Lightbourn, international fashion model, and Miss Bermuda 2014, on Thursday, March 26th.
This will take place in the North Hall Lecture Theatre G301 at Bermuda College at 7pm and the topic of the lecture will be Models: Influencer or the Influenced, an examination of the modelling industry and a call to action.

Now in its 6th year, the Grey Goose World Par 3 Championships will run from Friday, March 27th to Sunday, March 29th at the Fairmont Southampton’s Turtle Hill Golf Club.
This two-day 36-hole championship golf tournament is the world’s premier par 3 golf tournament, attracting 190 participants from around the globe, including a number of noted professionals.
Entry fees are $325 for pros and $275 for amateurs.

Helping you prepare for Good Friday, Swan’s Running Club presents its annual Kite-Making Workshop on Saturday, March 28th.
Keeping the local traditional art of kite-making alive, the workshop will run from 1pm until 6pm at The Centre on Angle Street. Food and drinks are supplied to the children and those assisting on the day.

If you have children aged between 10 and 14 who would love to discover the wonders of the ocean and its influence on life on earth, then you may be interested in registering them in the Dolphin Quest Ocean Adventure Camp, a series of one-week camps running during mid-term breaks.
Students will learn about dolphins and other diverse life forms in the first in a series of unique camps that celebrate marine life and inspire future ocean stewards.
Campers will receive 5 hours of community service credit per week subject to school approval. They will also be inspired and rewarded by a hands on, up-close, in-water Discover Dolphins programme on the last day of camp.
The first session will run from Monday, March 30th until Thursday, April 2nd, while the second session will run from Monday, April 6th until Friday, April 10th. Camps will run from 9.30am until 3.30pm, aligned with the ferry schedule, which leaves Hamilton at 9am, returning at 4pm.
The cost is a reduced rate of $100 per student as part of Dolphin Quest’s commitment to the community. Your participation in a Dolphin Quest experience supports vital marine conservation, education and research.

A great event for young films buffs, the Bermuda Youth Library are hosting an Easter Break Movie Day on Wednesday, April 1st.
Two new movies will be shown in the Youth Library Auditorium at 10am and 2.30pm.

The Ludwig Cann 3K and 5K Road Race will take place on Sunday, April 12th.
The event will start off with the Walkers 5K at 8.30am, followed by the Juniors 3K at 8.45am and the Runners 5K at 9am, all starting and finishing at Astwood Park.
Prizes will be awarded for overall and age group categories, with a special prize for the participant who wears the best Luddy outfit.

You are invited to bring a blanket or chair, a basket of refreshments and join the Regiment and Community Bands for a free Reunion Concert in the Grounds of Government House on Sunday, April 12th.
The concert starts at 3pm and you can enjoy wonderful entertainment for the whole family in a picturesque setting, with popular tunes performed by The Bermuda Regiment Band, The North Village Community Band, The Somerset Brigade Band, The Bermuda Islands Pipe Band, The Bermuda Chamber Choir, The Bermuda Youth Orchestra and The Warwick Academy Orchestra. Refreshments will also be on sale and limited seating will be provided for seniors. Access and parking is by the North Shore Gate only, opening at 1.30pm.
This event is part of the Bermuda Regiment’s 50th Anniversary celebrations and is by courtesy of His Excellency Mr George Fergusson and Mrs Fergusson. The public may wish to note that the grounds will be open each Sunday for the summer from May 3rd until Labour Day Weekend.
In the event of inclement weather, please listen to media messages or look for posted signs which will indicate whether the concert has been moved indoors to the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium.

Bermuda National Library Youth Services are inviting all poets and writers, aged 11 to 18, to submit an original poem for the Teen Advisory Board Poetry Competition 2015.
The poem should be based on the themes of Betrayal, View Out of My Window or Superpower for a Day.

Kids aged between 7 and 10 are invited to come for a Sleepover at the Library on Friday, April 17th.
This fun night will be spent in the Youth Library Auditorium from 6pm and the evening will be filled with story-telling, movies, games and dinner. Pick-up the following day is at 8.30am sharp.

Fans of fitness and/or martial arts are invited to the Bermuda Karate Institute’s 33rd Bermuda Open Karate Championships at Pembroke Sunday School on Sunday, April 26th.
Bermuda’s longest running martial arts competition will run from 1pm until 5pm and is open to all levels and styles.

Masterworks AOK invite you to come dance with them at their Dance Walk in the Park event on Sunday, April 26th.
The warm-up starts at 2.30pm in the Botanical Gardens, followed by the Dance Walk itself at 3pm. Dance walking is joyful self-expression, creativity and freedom from inhibitions, a great workout and fun.
AOK (Art Outreach for Kids) is a volunteer group raising money through fitness to make art education accessible to all children in Bermuda.
