The tour departs King’s Square at 7.30pm and the story-teller will spend around 75 minutes guiding you through the winding alleys and lanes of the olde towne, enthralling you with stories of our famous residents from days of olde. But be aware – your footsteps may just awake those who slumber beneath the ground.

The Elbow Beach Iyengar Yoga Centre located at The Club in Paget has developed into a vibrant centre for excellence in yoga in Bermuda and invite you to start your yogic journey at their next Yoga Foundation class on Thursday mornings from August 6th.
Designed for complete beginners and those wishing to revise basic skills, this four-week course will run from 10am until 11.30am.
The centre offers a light, spacious and peaceful haven in which you can embark on your yogic journey, with all classes taught by certificated Iyengar Yoga teachers so you can be sure of safe and skilled teaching. The Centre has two fully equipped yoga studios so there is no need to bring your equipment, though you are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer.
Yoga’s ultimate aim is liberation though it has many potential benefits along the way, including: increased vitality and well-being; enhanced flexibility and strength; better concentration; improved posture; self-confidence; mental and spiritual calm. The Iyengar method is systematic and thorough. Through careful structuring you make safe and steady progress. You start with asanas (postures), including savasana (relaxation) and gradually more difficult asanas are introduced as your depth of understanding increases. After some time, in accordance with the Yoga Sutras, pranayama (breathing technique) is introduced. For their full summer class schedule go to www.fritholme.com – under Amenities – The Club – select and click on Kirsten Agar Ward, Senior Iyengar Teacher.
Kirsten initially trained as an Iyengar Yoga teacher in Manchester UK, qualifying in 1997. She studied for her Junior and Senior certificates in London and Bath. She travels annually to Pune, India to study with the Iyengar family. She is qualified to Senior level 3, is an approved and experienced Iyengar Yoga teacher trainer and Assessor of teachers for the IY(UK). Kirsten is often invited to teach internationally and taught the Swedish national yoga convention in 2012. As well as teaching yoga, she is also a keen student of Indian philosophy and mantra.
The cost of the course is $108 per person.
