Bermuda National Library invite you to join them for their 4th Annual Pre-Valentine’s Ladies’ Night: Exploring Self-Love through Mind, Body & Spirit on Thursday, February 11th.
Starting at 6pm, this event will feature Dr. Nekia Walker (RG Island Life Columnist), Laura Martin-Stout (Cloud9ine Bermuda), Melissa Looby (Life Coach, Metamorphosis BDA), a Cooking Demo with Brendan from New Catering Concepts, and a Sensual Movement Demonstration with Dy-Ann Simmons.

The first in a series of workshops for 2016, Tomorrow’s Voices will host a Training Institute Workshop entitled, Skill Generalization – What Does That Really Mean? on Wednesday, February 17th,
Running from 6pm until 8pm at Tomorrow’s Voices on King Street, the workshop will provide concrete strategies and tactics to help ensure that the skills we teach children produce generalized outcomes.
Highlighting how children may struggle in transferring and continuing communication skills across all environments, people and scenarios both accurately and fluently, which is the hallmark of true mastery of a skill.
These include familiar scenarios such as a child behaves one way with one parent, but a different way with another; a child uses their language with adults but not peers; and a child’s alphabet seems strong at school but not at home.
Admission is $25 and attendees will be provided with a Professional Development Certificate upon completion of the workshop. All proceeds benefit the Tomorrow’s Voices Autism Centre and the families it supports.

Channel your inner Robin Hood/Katniss Everdeen at Archery Tuesdays at WindReach in Warwick.
The class will run from 6.15pm until 8pm each week and will include instruction on safety and equipment. Both Recurve and Compound Bows can be used.
People of all ages and abilities are welcome but younger shooters under 9 years old should be accompanied by an adult.

The Bermuda Society for the Blind are hosting a White Elephant Sale on Saturday and Sunday, February 20th and 21st.
From 9am until 4pm at Beacon House on each of the days, you can shop from a variety of men’s clothing, including jeans and shirts (dress, casual and polo), women’s clothing including jeans, tops, slacks, colourful scrubs, dress and pants suits, and children/teens, including jeans, tee shirts and dress shirts, and grey uniform pants. Sizes range from small to 3X. In addition, a variety of miscellaneous items will also be on sale, including handbags, jewellery, suitcases, duffle bags and computer bags, Tupperware, glassware and so much more.

The February edition of the Bermuda Docs Weekend Film Series will be on Sunday, February 21st in the usual location of the Tradewinds Auditorium at BUEI.
45 Years will be showing at 3pm. This richly intimate and intelligent drama won the Best British Feature award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
This will be followed by Mavis! at 5.15pm. This is a documentary on gospel/soul music legend and civil rights icon Mavis Staples and her family group, the Staple Singers.

The Bermuda Zoological Society invites you to join them for The Ecology of the Sargasso Sea, the second installment of their lecture series on Wednesday, February 24th.
The lecture will begin at 7pm in the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo Education Classroom. and will have Dr. Robbie Smith, Curator of the Bermuda Natural History Museum and BAMZ, discuss the diversity of life in the Sargassum community, its role in the ocean ecosystem and the importance to many marine fishes, sea turtles and seabirds. The effects of climate change and marine pollution on the Sargassum community and the Sargasso Sea will also be highlighted.

Raising funds for two local charities, the International Women’s Club of Bermuda (IWC) presents the opening night of their Annual Art Exhibition on Friday, March 4th.
Each year the members of IWC create and donate one-of-a-kind works of art and photographs to be sold at their annual Art Exhibition. All proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to local charities SCARS and WindReach.
The opening Gala will take place from 5.30pm until 7.30pm at The Gallery in the Chubb Building on Woodbourne Avenue.
The exhibit runs until March 18th and The Gallery is open from 10am until 4pm, Monday to Friday, for viewing and purchases. Admission is free.

Watch the best local elite and amateur boxers compete at the Bermuda Boxing Federation’s 2nd Annual Boxing Championships on Saturday, March 19th.
