Welcome in 2017 by joining InterNations Bermuda at their first Expat Social Evening of the year on Thursday, January 19th.
From 5.30pm until 9pm at Little Venice Wine Bar Terrace, you are invited to bring your friends and colleagues as they share their expectations for the new year. Happy Hour prices will be available until 8pm and the terrace will be heated.

Taste the Wild Flavors of Bermuda through a Cooking Demo on Sunday, January 22nd.
From 4pm until 6pm in the Salt Spray Soap Factory on Water Street, St. George’s, you are invited to come learn of the many edible herbs and plants of Bermuda that you can cook with and their health benefits.
The cost is $25 per person, which is a special rate for a limited time, and all participants must register.

Discover Charles Smith Wines from Washington State at a special Wine Tasting on Wednesday, January 25th.
From 5.30pm until 7pm in Marcus’ Private Dining Room, Burrows Lightbourn will guide you through a variety of this winery’s offerings, including Charles Smith “Eve” Chardonnay 2013, Charles Smith ‘Boom Boom’ Syrah 2014, Charles Smith ‘Chateau Smith’ Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Charles Smith ‘Velvet Devil’ Merlot 2014, and K-Syrah Millebrandt Syrah.

As part of Corange Science Week 2017, Bermuda College presents a public forum with the topic Water Engineering: Facing the Challenges of Water Management, on Wednesday, January 25th.
From 6.30pm until 8pm in North Hall (G301), the speaker will be Mr. Tarik Smith.
Bermudian scientist, Tarik Smith is a water engineering consultant who has been based in Barcelona, Spain since 2002. He is currently the Director of Koom Consulting, a private professional network offering services of water engineering , research and development, and project management to multiple sectors in Spain, the Caribbean, Africa and beyond. Specifically, the coordination of WASH (Water Sanitation and Hygiene) development projects in Haiti, Burkina Faso and Uganda.
Mr. Smith has over 10 years’ experience as a technical engineering consultant, and has led water engineering projects throughout Spain, including extensive work on the removal of nitrates from contaminated water sources, and the treatment and reuse of industrial wastewater.
He is a Research Fellow and technical consultant to the UNESCO Sustainability Chair of the Polytechnic University of Catalunya-Barcelona Tech; Research Fellow of the RESURBE International Urban Resilience Conference; and a regular lecturer on project management, intercultural relations and international developments at the University of Abat Oliba (Barcelona), the Univeristy of Vic (Barcelona), and other institutions in Spain.
He has co-authored several scientific research publications in collaboration with research entities in Barcelona, Madrid and Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), and beyond.

From 9pm each week, you can enjoy live music that will keep things rockin’ until the wee hours of the morning.

The Saltus Secondary Department invite you to their production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream from Wednesday to Saturday, February 1st to 4th.
From 7pm each evening in Alumni Hall, this raucous romp into fairyland will be set right here in Bermuda.
The woods outside Hamilton are a busy place on this magical night! Four runaway lovers find themselves caught in the middle of a dispute between the King and Queen of the fairies, and, as if that wasn’t enough, a troupe of Saltus amateur actors are trying to rehearse a play. Between these unlikely groups flies Puck, armed only with a wicked sense of humour and a love potion capable of making anyone fall for the first person they set eyes upon. What could possibly go wrong?
Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students, cash only, and available from the Saltus Shop on Woodlands Road between 11am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Enjoy a fun-filled evening for those who love answering trivia questions as Wesley Methodist Church present their Trivia Quiz on Saturday, February 11th.

Support cancer care in Bermuda at the 29th Annual P.A.L.S. Walk on Sunday, February 19th.
This year, the event route will start and finish at the P.A.L.S. headquarters in Paget with 3k, 5k and 10k walk options, following an out and back course along the scenic Railway Trail. This event is sponsored by PALS, Clarien, Colonial, and Butterfield & Vallis.
Registration can be made online at www.pals.bm until February 17th, in person at P.A.L.S HQ from 9.30am until 4.30pm, or at Washington Mall from 11.30am until 1.30pm on February 6th, 8th, 10th, 13th or 15th. Later registration will be available at P.A.L.S HQ from 10am until 2pm on Saturday, February 20th. There will be no registration on the day of the walk. All registration materials and race bibs must be picked up from PALS on Saturdays, February 11th or 18th between 9am and noon.
The registration fee is $25 for adults, $5 for children aged 5 to 15 and free for children under 5. You are asked to consider pledges and sponsorships from your family and friends as your generous donations help their 5 PALS nurses provide in-home care for Bermuda’s cancer patients. All walkers who raise more than $100 in donations will be entered into a draw to win a $750 travel voucher.
