Scribbles Art Shack invites you to come out with friends and family to enjoy an outdoors art experience at their next Summer Sunset Painting event as the sunsets on Saturday, August 26th.
This will start at 6pm at Flatts Inlet across from Brightside Guest Apartments on the open lawn, where you can expect an evening for mature folk and a relaxing vibe – welcoming both novice and expert painters. The evening will be facilitated by artists Carlos Trott and Chrisanthi Bartley from start to finish.
They encourage you to bring your own beverages and food. Parking will be available in the car park across from BAMZ Aquarium and Zoo.
The cost is $45 per person which includes supplies.

Back by popular demand for a third showing, BUEI Screens presents Churchill on Sunday, August 27th.
Ninety-six hours before the World War II invasion of Normandy, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, fearful of repeating the invasion of Gallipoli in 1915, attempts to stop the planned invasion of Normandy. Only with the support of his wife, Clementine, can the prime minister avoid physical and mental collapse as he struggles with his severe reservations over Operation Overlord and his increasingly marginalized role in the war effort.
The film starts at 5:15pm in BUEI’s Tradewinds Auditorium.
Harbourfront are offering a 10% discount (food only) to anyone dining there before or after the event. The restaurant opens for dinner at 6pm. Please mention the lecture when booking to avail of the discount and note that it cannot be combined with any other special offers. For dinner reservations call 295-4207.

Enjoy a night of electronic music as The Rum Cellar at Fairmont Southampton host Nostalgia on Saturday, August 26th. **UPDATE This event has been cancelled**
From 9pm until 2am at the resorts new pop-up, this event is the first of a two-part series featuring DJs: Ego Clash & Giles Lorimer Turner who will be playing house and techno music.
An exclusive VIP area with bottle service is available on reservation only. Reservations must be made prior to 6pm by calling 238-8000.
There is no cover charge and the dress code is smart casual.

Aimed at diabetics, pre-diabetics, and their family members, you can learn how to reclaim your health with the Reversing Diabetes Mission Course starting on Thursday, August 31st.
This 4-week class will meet two days per week on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30pm until 8pm at Windreach. Attendees will be given a workbook and textbook and there will be a media presentation, as well as food tasting.

Bringing you a four-day festival featuring some of the best entertainers in Bermuda, be sure to come out as PinkSand Entertainment presents the Made in Bermuda Festival 2017 starting on Friday, September 1st, running until Monday, September 4th.
Made in Bermuda is said to be the only event of its kind, featuring an entire cast of Bermudian performers as the main attraction.
The festival kicks off with Friday’s Rising Stars Concert starting 7pm at CedarBridge Cafetorium, this will feature the best of Bermuda’s up and coming stars. Tickets cost $15 and are available at People’s Pharmacy.
Next is the Early Worm Party, on Saturday, September 2nd starting 10pm at Inferno Lounge. Promising a sophisticated experience, the Early Worm Party is the official warm-up for the main event.
Tickets cost $20 and will be available at the door.
The main event will be a Live Concert on Sunday, September 3rd. This event will feature all Bermudian artists, including; Sia Spence, LiveWires, Sheila Smith, Cush Evans and the Wall Street Band, on the main stage. There will also be a variety of performances and displays throughout the festival courtyard. Guests can expect to mingle around the event’s courtyard enjoying the night’s myriad of entertainment, food, and drink in one of the lounge areas before taking their assigned seat for the concert start. All seating is reserved.
Doors open 6pm for a 7pm showtime start at the Cedarbridge Academy Courtyard.
Tickets for this event cost $75 for general admission or $125 for VIP which includes a separate entrance, the best seating, access to the VIP lounge including food and drinks, and preferred parking. Tickets are available from Bdatix.bm.
To close out the festival, the final event Float BDA will be on Monday, September 4th. This will run from 12pm until 7pm at Tobacco Bay Beach, where you are invited to come and enjoy some fun in the sun before summer ends. There is no cover charge for this event.

Join to watch or compete in the 2017 PGTC Open presented by Martini & Bacardi Seniors Cup starting on Saturday, September 2nd running until Saturday, September 9th.
The PGTC (Pomander Gate Tennis Club) Open presented by Martini is an event sanctioned by the BLTA offering ranking points to local players aged 18 years and older, while The Bacardi Seniors Cup is an unsanctioned event for players aged 40 years and older.
The two tournaments will be played concurrently at Pomander Gate Tennis Club, each weekday starting at 5:30pm, and on the weekend starting 9am.
This event is free for spectators while the cost to enter into the tournament starts at $20 per player. Players can download entry forms from www.PGTC.bm/TournamentsResults/.

Are you ready for the surge?! Messy mayhem is on the horizon as NOVA Mas International presents Radiate…Riddim, Ruckus, Rave! on Saturday, September 2nd.
Starting at 10pm at Moresby Plain (Ireland Rangers Field) in Dockyard, this is a paint-infused riddim rave (so dress for the mess!) as Quest, their tribal icon, will shower you in color to highlight your night.
Where the splash fades but the riddim and vibes remain, you are invited to come and experience the rush at this wet-and-wild event featuring international DJ’s Scratch Master (of Slam 101 FM Barbados and Power 95 Grenada) and Jah Lion Sound (of Hot 107.9 FM Atlanta) as well as Bermuda’s own DJ IBreeze and Mr. Genius.

Relieve pain and restore health as the Yoga Centre are offering a Therapeutic Yoga for Low Back Program starting on Tuesday, September 5th.
Running weekly from 5:30pm until 7:30pm on Tuesdays until October 17th, this is a 7-week course for students of all levels and abilities, with a focus on the relief of low back tension and pain. Students will learn how to build a strong foundation of support in the low back, pelvis, hips, and legs, increase circulation to the low back, change habitual movement patterns, and establish a daily practice beneficial to ongoing low back health.
The course is taught by a senior Yoga Alliance RYT 500, Essential Low Back Program® certified teacher.
The cost of the series is $200.

For first-time beginners, those with limited experience, and those who would like a back-to-basics refresher, the Yoga Centre are offering a Beginner’s Yoga 12-week Course starting on Saturday, September 9th.
From 3:30pm until 5pm on Saturdays, this course provides a well-rounded introduction to level one poses (asanas), functional breathing, deep relaxation and mindful awareness. Students will learn how to practice safe yoga and gain an understanding of the mechanics and essential benefits of each asana and yoga practice to determine how best to incorporate them into their personal practice.
The course is taught by a senior Yoga Alliance RYT 500 teacher, with specialized certification in Adaptive Yoga.
The cost for the series is $260. Make-up vouchers are available for a maximum of two missed classes.

Studio One Fitness invites you to enjoy your favourite class or try something new as they hold their Studio One Showcase on Saturday, September 16th.
From 8am until 1pm at City Hall Car Park, you can try a variety of free fitness classes including; Spinning, Zumba, Body Combat, Body Step, CxWorx (Core), Yoga and Pole Fitness (in studio), taught by some of Bermuda’s premier instructors. They will also offer free fitness testing, body composition, giveaways, healthy snacks, studio tours and special sign up deals.
Pre-registration is not required, although some classes will have number restrictions, so you will be admitted on a first come first serve basis.

The West Indian Association of Bermuda are jammin’ still! and invite you to come join them aboard the M.V. Bermuda Longtail for the WIA Caribbean End of Summer Cruise on Saturday, September 23.
Boarding begins at 7pm from Albuoy’s Point, departing promptly at 8pm. Guests can expect to groove to reggae and wave flags to soca with music by Bermuda’s own Da Matrix DJ Ninja Cutty and International DJ out of Washington DC, DJ Majestic. There will also be Caribbean cuisine provided and a cash bar.
Limited early bird tickets are available for $60 (until September 2nd) and cost $65 thereafter or $55 for current members. New members can also join to take advantage of this price but must pay membership dues of $20 at the time of purchase.
