Ninety-six hours before the World War II invasion of Normandy, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, fearful of repeating the invasion of Gallipoli in 1915, attempts to stop the planned invasion of Normandy. Only with the support of his wife, Clementine, can the prime minister avoid physical and mental collapse as he struggles with his severe reservations over Operation Overlord and his increasingly marginalized role in the war effort.
The film starts at 7:30pm in BUEI’s Tradewinds Auditorium.

BUEI Screens presents the films From the Land of the Moon and The Journey on Sunday, September 17th.
Originally titled Mal de Pierres, From the Land of the Moon is a 2016 French film written and directed by Nicole Garcia and starring Marion Cotillard. The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Milena Agus. The film competed for the Palme d’Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival[3] and received 8 nominations for the César Awards, including Best Film, Best Director for Nicole Garcia, and Best Actress for Marion Cotillard.
The Journey is a gripping account of how two men from opposite sides of the political spectrum came together to change the course of history. In 2006, amidst the ongoing, decades-long conflict in Northern Ireland, representatives from the two warring factions meet for negotiations. In one corner is Ian Paisley (Timothy Spall), the deeply conservative British loyalist; in the other is Martin McGuinness (Colm Meaney), a former Irish Republican Army leader who has devoted his life to the cause of Irish reunification.
Both films will screen in the Tradewinds Auditorium at BUEI, starting with From the Land of the Moon at 3pm followed by The Journey at 5:15pm.
Harbourfront are offering a 10% discount (food only) to anyone dining there after the event. The restaurant opens for dinner at 6pm.
