2019 / Biography / PG-13 / 118mins

Winter 1968 and showbiz legend Judy Garland (Academy Award Winner Renée Zellweger) arrives in Swinging London to perform a five-week sold-out run at The Talk of the Town. It is 30 years since she shot to global stardom in The Wizard of Oz, but if her voice has weakened, its dramatic intensity has only grown. As she prepares for the show, battles with management, charms musicians and reminisces with friends and adoring fans, her wit and warmth shine through. Even her dreams of love seem undimmed as she embarks on a whirlwind romance with Mickey Deans, her soon-to-be fifth husband. Featuring some of her best-known songs, the film celebrates the voice, the capacity for love, and the sheer pizzazz of “the world’s greatest entertainer.”

The film begins at 5:15pm in the Tradewinds Auditorium. Harbourfront opens for dinner at 6pm, and ticket holders are entitled to 10% off dinner (food only) after the film. Reservations required. BUEI Screens presents: The Biggest Little Farm, back for a seventh showing, on Sunday, December 15th.

2018 / Documentary / PG / 91mins

The Biggest Little Farm follows two dreamers and a dog on an odyssey to bring harmony to both their lives and the land. When the barking of their beloved dog Todd leads to an eviction notice from their tiny LA apartment, John and Molly Chester make a choice that takes them out of the city and onto 200 acres in the foothills of Ventura County, naively endeavouring to build one of the most diverse farms of its kind in complete coexistence with nature. The land they’ve chosen, however, is utterly depleted of nutrients and suffering from a brutal drought. The film chronicles eight years of daunting work as they attempt to create the utopia they seek, planting 10,000 orchard trees and over 200 different crops, and bringing in animals of every kind.

The film begins at 5:15pm in the Tradewinds Auditorium. At 6pm Harbourfront opens for dinner and ticket holders are entitled to 10% off dinner (food only) after the film. Reservations required. Please call 295-4207 for reservations and be sure to mention the film. Cannot be combined with any other special offers.
