February 26th, 2020 Bermuda Calendar Update
Good Morning Bermuda,
We’ve nearly reached the end of February, can you believe it!? Here’s your weekly update with all of the latest events that have been added to the Bermuda Calendar since last week. As always, make sure you scroll all the way down to the Quick Recap Section at the bottom of this post to see ALL upcoming events, including those that have been previously covered in previous posts.
Since it’s not practical to add them to the post each week, all of the Regular/ Weekly Events are listed on a separate page which you can access from the drop-down options under the Other Sections tab on the homepage.
If you are planning any upcoming events you can submit your event here – a basic listing is free! Just be sure to include all of the relevant details in your description.
All are invited to the next lecture in the Eco Lunch & Learn Series II, presented by BEST and the Bermuda College Science Department, addressing Climate Change: How Bermuda Can Respond on Thursday, February 27th.
This is the second year that BEST and the college have collaborated to present talks on local topical events. In this lecture Dr Anne Glasspool will consider the effects of climate change on Bermuda and the strategies to mitigate the impact of climate change on economic, social and physical well-being. Dr. Anne Glasspool is a Bermudian Chartered Environmentalist with an M.Sc. in Fisheries Management, a Ph.D. in Marine Biology with over 30 years of work experience in the environmental sciences. She is Vice President of Bermuda Environmental Consulting, Ltd., specialising in environmental impact assessment, environmental management planning, regulatory compliance, ecological assessments and remediation projects for a diverse suite of clients.
The lecture starts at 1pm in Hallet Hall, followed by a lively discussion and Q&A. There will be two more lectures in this series on the last Thursdays of March & April. Series III will begin in September 2020.
Admission is free and no registration is required. Bring your own lunch.
