Morning Troops!

Surprise!!  Aha, didn’t expect to hear from me today, did you?  This week’s edition of NTDIB is coming to you a little early due to the public holiday tomorrow.  There’s sure to be something for everyone in this latest round-up of things to do in Bermuda – the hard part is choosing:

1111 Remembrance Day Parade

Show your respect for all the members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty since World War I at the Remembrance Day Parade at 10.30am in front of the Cabinet Building, Front Street, on Wednesday, November 11th.

Participating organisations in this sombre parade will include war veterans (or their relatives/descendants), the Royal Bermuda Regiment, RBR Junior Leaders, Bermuda Police Service, Bermuda Sea Cadets, Salvation Army Bermuda Divisional Band, North Village Band, Somerset Brigade Band, Band and Corps of Drums of the Royal Bermuda Regiment, and the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band.

The Governor will be in attendance as well as senior Government officials.  Wreaths will be laid and a 2 minute silence will be observed at 11am.

Overseas veterans are encouraged to join their Bermuda counterparts marching in this parade and receive the appreciation of the people of Bermuda.

A special reunion gathering for veterans and military personnel will be held following the ceremony.

For more information, or if you would like to participate in the parade, contact br50@gov.bm.
