Morning Ladies and Gents!

Hope you all had a great holiday weekend.  Did you know that today is World Kindness Day?  Sounds like a great excuse to spread a little extra love to whoever you cross paths with today so why not make the most of it and make someone smile?  Anyway, here’s what’s coming up in Bermuda:

Bermuda National Gallery

As part of its Art of Music series, the Bermuda National Gallery presents the 3rd Annual Music Nite, re-interpreting the visual arts through music, on Friday, November 15th.  This will run from 5pm until 7.30pm and the inspiration for this year’s music nite is the current exhibition in the Watlington Room featuring art created by women artists in the BNG’s collection.  For this event, a variety of female musicians were encouraged to create and perform new music across all genres. Not to exclude the men, there is also an opportunity for a male composer to write music to be performed by a female.  Performers include Kate Ross & Friends, Ashanti ‘Princess Black’, Tiffany Paynter, Kassandra ‘K Gabrielle’ Caines, Imari Golden, LaTannia Ellerbie (Bermuda School of Music), and Leah Amaral, Zoe Smith and Friends (Bermuda High School).  Tickets cost $50 for members or $65 for non-members.  For more information, or to reserve tickets, contact Lisa Howie at director@bng.bm or 295-9428.
