Select Palette Art (SPArt) is currently showcasing the brand-new exhibit Exhale by celebrated local artist Robert Bassett at Common Ground.
The exhibit will run through April 20th and can be viewed during Common Ground’s regular opening hours from 7.30am until 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, and from 9am until 2pm on Saturdays.
There is no cover charge and all are welcome.

Learn how to better manage stress, change, challenge and adversity with evidence based information and empirically validated and immediately implementable skills at the seminar, Building Resilience and Preventing Burnout, on Thursday, February 25th.
Change and uncertainty have become professional and household features in Bermuda and globally. Work challenges can influence personal and family life which can result in feeling maxed-out, overwhelmed and addicted to being busy.
This event will be held from 5.30pm until 7pm at O‘Hara House and the presenters (Lorrie Peniston and Paula Davis-Laack) are international experts in the field of Positive Psychology and Resilience. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certificates are generally accepted by most organizations for this seminar.

Learn more about how increasing expectations for data transparency are being managed against data privacy requirements, and the potential repercussions in the event of a failure in those processes at TechTalk: Information Security: Public Access on One Hand and Privacy and Data Protection on the Other on Thursday, February 25th.
From 5.30pm at the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club, the discussion will cover Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), Public Access to Information (PATI), and Information security.
The panel will consist of Gitanjali Gutierrez (Information Commissioner, ICO Bermuda), Kerr Kennedy (Senior Manager, Advisory & Risk, EY), Nancy Volesky (Director, Privacy and Data Protection Project) and William Francis (Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Economic
Development).
The discussion will be moderated by Sheridan Smith, Director, Management Services/Information Technology, Bermuda Monetary Authority.

The Docksider Pub & Restaurant invite you to start off your weekend by celebrating the Happiest of Hours with original Bermuda rock band, Radios in Cars on Friday, February 26th.

Jump with the stars and join World Champion Jumpers the Comet Skippers at the Jump 2B Fit Workshop on Saturday, February 27th.
From 9am until noon at Somersfield Academy Gymnasium, there will be active fun for the whole family, from toddlers to CrossFit enthusiasts. Participants can come and have fun jumping rope, incluiding Double Dutch, Double Unders, Single Rope, Long Rope, and more.
The cost to participate is a $5 donation and you can just turn up on the day.

From 9am until 2pm at St. Mark’s Church Hall in Smith’s Parish, you can shop a variety of items, including gifts, clothing, vegetables, face painting, plants, and refreshments.

BHS Vietnam Service Project are hosting a fundraising Car Wash on Saturday, February 27th.
This will run from 9am until 3pm at Butterfield and Vallis, opposite the BAA field. BHS Round Square Service Project to Vietnam in March 2016 will be building houses for the local population in Vinh Long outside Ho Chi Minh. 25 staff and students will carry out the building project. Funds raised will be used to purchase the materials required.
The cost is $20 for cars and $10 for bikes with advance tickets from BHS reception, or on the day. This event is being sponsored by Bermuda Motors , so if you have a KIA car it will be washed for free and Bermuda Motors will pay BHS for it.

Celebrating over forty years of African Dance and commemorating Black History Month, the Bermuda African Dance Company presents African Extravaganza on Saturday, February 27th.

Celebrate life with two nights of non-stop laughter at an International Comedy Show with Sleepy Floyd on Sunday and Monday, February 28th and 29th.
Showtime is at 8pm each night at The Grand. Comedian Sleepy Floyd from New York has been entertaining audiences all around the US and Bootsie will perform as the opening act.
Tickets are $25 and are available at The Grand daily after 4pm.

Challenge your business rivals at Expertise Limited’s 2nd Annual Corporate Trivia Night on Thursday, March 3rd.
The quiz starts at 6.30pm sharp at the Mariner’s Club and participating organisations can enter a team of 5 quiz enthusiasts, with up to two of those spots being filled by friends and family. The deadline for team submission is on Thursday, February 25th. There is no entry at the door. so pre-registration is required for entry.
The minimum donation for teams to enter is $800 and all proceeds will be donated to Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre’s Relay for Life 2016 event.

You are invited to bring the whole family as Bermuda College, in conjunction with Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, presents a Pediatric Health Fair on Saturday, March 5th.
From 3pm until 6.30pm on the Bermuda College field, there will be specialty vendors, interactive demonstration, screenings, Lahey Clinic and Nursing Student presentations, and food and fun castles.
Child-centric topics will include: TV, video games, internet usage; food safety; accidental poisoning; car seat safety; pedal bike helmets; water safety (drowning); residential fire safety; nutrition; dental health; and physical activity.

Come out and support the Bermuda Pilot Gig Club’s Rowing Racing Crews while flexing your mental muscle at a Quiz Night Fundraiser for the Bermuda Pilot Gig Club on Saturday, March 5th.
The quiz starts at 8pm sharp at the Bailey’s Bay Swizzle Inn. A fun night is sure to be had with raffles, prizes, drink specials and quizmaster Mike Bishop testing your team’s trivia knowledge on a wide variety of subjects. The Bermuda Pilot Gig Club’s Rowing Racing Crews will be representing Bermuda in the 2016 World Pilot Gig Championships in the Isles of Scilly, UK.

The March edition of the monthly Ciné Club from L’Alliance Française des Bermudes will be showing Samba at 8pm on Tuesday, March 8th.
Screening in the Tradewinds Auditorium at BUEI, this French comedy/drama with English subtitles is from directors Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache, with with Omar Sy, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Tahar Rahim.
Samba migrated to France ten years ago from Senegal, and has since been plugging away at various lowly jobs. Alice is a senior executive who has recently undergone a burn-out. Both struggle to get out of their dead-end lives. Samba’s willing to do whatever it takes to get working papers, while Alice tries to get her life back on track until fate draws them together….
All members of the public are welcome. Tickets are available at the door and cost $5 for AF/BUEI members, $10 for non-members and $5 for students.

Enjoy an evening of soup tasting by ten great Bermuda chefs, followed by a buffet dinner in support of The Eliza Dolittle Society at the Soup-A-Bowl on Monday, March 21st.

Written and produced by Dale Butler and directed by Karen Dill, this is an original musical/comedy/mystery with a live band and excellent singers. You may be chosen. Showtime is at 2.30pm and 7pm at St. Paul’s AME Church. Will local entertainment return or remain dormant? Come and find out with legendary performers and some newcomers as well.
