March 2nd, 2016: Bermuda Events Update
Good morning Bermuda!
Well, March certainly hasn’t come in like a lion so far – spring is finally in the air! Not only is it starting to get a little warmer but the clocks go forward next weekend, giving us an extra hour of daylight.
Wondering what to do with all that extra sunshine? Well, lots of things are going on in Bermuda in the spring so let’s get down to it:
Let Discovery Wines prove that the grape game isn’t just a man’s world at the next in their Wine Focus Wednesday Series, Women in Wine, on Wednesday, March 2nd.
Wine Focus Wednesdays is an exclusive wine tasting series, where you will be guided through an in-depth tasting, featuring a specific region grape varietal or theme. You will be given the opportunity to taste five different wines that truly exemplify the different terroirs and grape varietals in an intimate group setting while snacking on one of their delectable cheese boards.
In preparation for Women’s Day on March 8th, DW will be featuring a wine selection that highlights female winemakers and notable women in the industry. Currently, the industry, especially the winemakers, is male-dominated, thus, DW would like to feature a flight of wines that highlight women who are doing an exemplary job. This tasting will also be a diverse selection of higher-end wines from various regions featuring different grape varietals.
Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased online at www.DiscoveryWines.bm. Class size is very limited so you are encouraged to book early.
