Since the 1985 discovery of Titanic, the art and science of deep-sea research has opened the planet’s final frontier – the ocean – to new discoveries but also a new approach to conducting science and involving the public. Dr. Delgado will share tales of the technology, the science, and of missions he has led or participated in from “Titanic”, World War II wrecks in the Pacific, and the telepresence enabled deep sea archaeological excavation of an early 19th century shipwreck in the Gulf of Mexico.
