Official Bermuda Summertime is less than a week away – excited?  Me too!

Here is your weekly update on summer fun in Bermuda:

 

 

0519-Bermuda-Pilot-Gig-Club-Rowing-Tour

Experience St. George’s in a unique way – from the water in a historic pilot gig – at the Bermuda Pilot Gig Club Rowing Tour of St. David’s Harbour.

Starting at 10.30am from the East End Mini Yacht Club, you can ride or row through and around the many historic sites and islands of St. David’s Harbour.

The tours will continue every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer.

The cost is $50 per person and must pre-booked.

0511 Bermuda Inline Hockey League

The 6th season of the Bermuda Inline Hockey League is now running on Wednesday evenings.

This will take place at the rink at Pembroke Community Club (PCC) and the league will continue weekly with matches at 7pm and 8.15pm on Wednesday nights, with the following Monday night as their rainout scheduled dates. The season ends on Wednesday, July 20th, with the playoffs in August.  For the upcoming schedule, visit www.bdaHockey.com.

There is no fee for spectators.

0504 World Asthma Day

Open Airways invite you to join them for free Asthma Education in the West End on Wednesday, May 4th.

From 9am until noon just outside of Somerset Marketplace, asthma nurses will be available, answering questions and providing asthma education to anyone who asks.

This event is free and open to the public.

0428 Writer Advice and Resources

Writers (and artists) are welcome to join in Bermuda National Library’s Lunch and Learn: So You’re a Writer… Advice and Resources in Bermuda on Thursday, April 28th.

From 12.30pm until 1.30pm in the Bermuda History and Cultural Studies Room, Folklife Officer, Dr. Kim Dismont Robinson, and Local Studies Librarian, Ellen Jane Hollis for a free lunchtime discussion on writing, how to get ready for publication, and what type of marketing can be done locally.

The event is free. Registration is not required, but is recommended as space is limited.

Yup, it’s already that time of the week again!  Here is your Wednesday update on what’s coming up in Bermuda.

 

 

 

 

0422 Bermuda Invitational Permit Track Meet

Bermuda National Athletics Association presents, in conjunction with Bermuda Tourism Authority and the Department of Youth Sport and Recreation, an event that will be the first of its kind in Bermuda, the Bermuda Invitational Permit Track Meet on Friday, April 22nd.

From 6.30pm until 8.30pm, professional athletes from around the world, who have competed in the Olympics and World Championships will compete in Bermuda for one night only.  These athletes will run the fastest times the track at National Sports Centre has ever seen.

In addition to the amazing track and field competition, there will be a happy hour available and VIP section that offers food and a meet and greet with the athletes.

The cost is $52 for VIPs, $27 for reserved seating, and $12 for uncovered seating.  Tickets are available at www.bnaa.bm and
