Happy Hump Day, Folks!

I have just been cheered up by the realisation that there is a public holiday for Good Friday next week – can’t believe I completely forgot until now, especially since it’s one of the nicer public holidays.  I guess I’d better get started on making my kite, and also on buying a real kite for when my home-made kite ends up a hot mess.  If you’re looking for Bermuda Easter weekend events, you’ve come to the right place – and the summer events are starting to come in too…

Morning Troops!

There seems to be a holiday for every occasion, no matter how strange or random.  For example, National Gorilla Suit Day is on January 31st, Bad Poetry Day is on August 18th, and Cookie Monster Day is on November 2nd. Your favourite thing is not celebrated?!  Then great news as today, March 26th is Make Up Your Own Holiday Day! Hmmm…wonder if there’s already a Grilled Cheese Appreciation Day..  Anyway, here are the latest Bermuda events for Spring:

If you are interested in writing or performing poetry, this is a literary experience not to be missed!  The Bermuda College Literary Society and Division of Liberal Arts presents Javon Johnson, Slam Poet on Wednesday, March 26th and Thursday, March 27th.  Not only is Javon Johnson an award-winning poet, he holds a PhD in Performance and Communication and is also a Professor at San Francisco State University.
