Morning Ladies and Gents!

Hope you all made it safely through the night with minimal disruption from Tropical Storm Gabrielle – I guess hurricane season is definitely upon us now!  If you are reading this on Wednesday, then it looks like my electricity/internet were fine – I hope it’s the same case for all of you.  As always happens in the Fall, the Bermuda events calendar is getting busier so you are bound to find something interesting to do, no matter how the weather is:

BSoA Trashed

To coincide with the TrashArt: Litter-Arti Show 2013, the Bermuda Society of Arts (BSoA) is proud to present the Bermuda premiere of the award-winning 2012 documentary, Trashed, on Thursday, September 12th.  The film, which features Oscar-winning actor Jeremy Irons, is rated PG-13 and will be followed by a panel discussion.  The aim of this very special screening is to raise awareness of the growing problem of waste excess here in Bermuda and across the globe. BSoA invite you to come and join the discussion and find out how you can help.  The reception will be at 5.30pm, the movie starts at 6pm and the panel discussion will begin around 7.45pm.  The panelists will include representatives from BEST, KBB, Bermuda Waste Management and Green Rock. For more information, contact bsoa@ibl.bm or 292-3824.  Tickets are $15 and available from www.bdatix.com.
