You will be invited to discuss with the instructor the area or areas for your search. Found materials could include anything from leaves and driftwood, to baby spoons and school reports. The project relies heavily on your ability to look beyond the immediate and the obvious. The objective is to construct a functional artists creation that speaks to your life’s journey: mobile, wall hanging, pamp, sculpture or installation, or similar.
The classes are held every Tuesday, from 10am until 1pm, within the Masterworks Art Classroom. The course finishes on May 28th.
The cost is $360 for Members, $400 for Non-members. To register, visit www.BermudaMasterworks.org.

The Yoga Centre are offering a Managing Work Stress Workshop on Saturday, April 27th.
It is a known fact that workplace stress can have an effect on us long after the workday is done. Poor habits of sitting too long, eating at the desk, working late hours on the job or at home put us in survival mode and beckon us (too often) to rely on unhealthy fixes to help relieve the stress. This seldom works, often causes more stress and creates in us a chronic fight or flight condition that is difficult to correct without proper know how, awareness and attention.
From 1pm until 3:30pm at the Yoga Centre on Victoria Street, this workshop will include a powerpoint presentation, a Q&A session and an Experiential Practice session to help participants learn and benefit from the course.
Participants will learn: breathing techniques to cleanse and relieve stress; the relaxation response and how to do, even while sitting in the chair at work; techniques to balance out the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems of the ANS, the gateway to managing stress; a simple mindfulness practice and knowledge of how yoga heals and relieves stress of the body and mind from the inside out.
The workshop is taught by a certified yoga therapist, yoga trainer and Yoga Alliance community education provider.
The cost is $65.
For more information, or to register, contact yogaontherock@logic.bm.

The Yoga Centre are offering a Children’s Mindfulness Yoga for Stress Release course starting on Monday, April 29th.
The course will run weekly from 4pm until 5pm at their premises on Victoria Street. This course is for children between the ages of 7-11 years, and is specifically designed to help them better manage stress by using a mindfulness approach, simple breathing techniques and an attitude of non-dual awareness to minimise judgements and maximise creativity. The class will also work with students to help build physical strength, and endurance through their practice while maintaining a sense of relaxation and simple joyfulness and ease.
Greater proprioception and interoception ability, better ability to focus and greater awareness of the function of the breath through movement, visualisations and coordinated play are positive takeaways from the course.
The course is taught by a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) knowledgeable in mindfulness, subtle and gross anatomy and with extensive knowledge of hatha yoga for relaxation, wellness and healing for both adults and children.
The cost is $165.
