Restoration House Ministries International in partnership with The Anglican Church of Bermuda are excited to bring to the public its third annual 24 Hour Community Prayer Room on Saturday, June 8th.
This year the event will be held from midnight until 11:59pm at The Cathedral Hall of the Most Holy Trinity on Church Street.
All are welcome to come and join in praying for the needs of this Island and its people, as we face increasing social and economic pressures. The goal is to have fervent prayers of hope and peace taking place non-stop for the entire 24 hours. The event is intended to be an inter-denominational Christian gathering, understanding that there is strength in numbers, power in prayer, and hope in unity. The hope is to approach the throne of grace collectively and individually in this set location and season.
In light of the biblical scripture: “If you seek Me you will find Me.” (Jeremiah 29:13), this Community Prayer Room aims to be inclusive of those who feel they do not know how to pray. It is also designed to accommodate children while adults pray.
For more information, contact RHM International at info@rhminternational.com or 536-2725 or the Anglican Church of Bermuda at 292-6987 or diocese@anglican.bm.
Back for a third showing, BUEI Screens presents Red Joan on Thursday, June 13th.
Joan Stanley (Academy Award Winner Judi Dench) is a widow living out a quiet retirement in the suburbs when, shockingly, the British Secret Service places her under arrest. The charge: providing classified scientific information-including details on the building of the atomic bomb-to the Soviet government for decades. As she is interrogated, Joan relives the dramatic events that shaped her life and beliefs: her student days at Cambridge, where she excelled at physics while challenging deep-seated sexism; her tumultuous love affair with a dashing political radical; and the devastation of World War II, which inspired her to risk everything in pursuit of peace.
Based on a sensational true story, RED JOAN vividly brings to life the conflicts-between patriotism and idealism, love and duty, courage and betrayal-of a woman who spent a lifetime being underestimated while quietly changing the course of history.
The film starts at 7:30pm in the Tradewinds Auditorium. The Harbourfront restaurant opens for dinner at 6pm and ticket holders are entitled to 10% off dinner (food only) before or after the film. Reservations required. Please call 295-4207 for reservations and be sure to mention the film. Cannot be combined with any other special offers.
Tickets are $15 for adults; $12 for students and tickets are non-refundable within 24 hours of the event.

BUEI Screens presents: The Biggest Little Farm on Sunday, June 23rd.
The Biggest Little Farm follows two dreamers and a dog on an odyssey to bring harmony to both their lives and the land. When the barking of their beloved dog Todd leads to an eviction notice from their tiny LA apartment, John and Molly Chester make a choice that takes them out of the city and onto 200 acres in the foothills of Ventura County, naively endeavoring to build one of the most diverse farms of its kind in complete coexistence with nature. The land they’ve chosen, however, is utterly depleted of nutrients and suffering from a brutal drought. The film chronicles eight years of daunting work as they attempt to create the utopia they seek, planting 10,000 orchard trees and over 200 different crops, and bringing in animals of every kind.
