October 30th, 2019 Bermuda Calendar Update
Happy Halloween, Bermuda!
We’ve reached the end of October – the spookiest time of the year! – and I hope everyone has a safe and fun night of trick or treating tomorrow.
Without any further adieu, here is your weekly update with all of the latest events to the Bermuda Calendar since last week. As always, be sure to check out the Quick Recap Section at the bottom of this post for a complete listing of all upcoming events, including those previously covered in previous posts.
Since it’s not practical to add them to the post each week, all of the Regular/ Weekly Events are listed on a separate page which you can access from the drop-down options under the Other Sections tab on the homepage.
If you are planning any upcoming events, let us know by submitting a full description of your event via our online submission form here – a basic listing is free!
As the island prepares to welcome the PGA Tour, The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs invites you to learn about the life and legacy of the iconoclast Bermudian golfer who led the charge against segregation in golf at Louis Rafael ‘Kid’ Corbin: Breaking Golf’s Colour Line in America, Canada and Bermuda on Wednesday, October 30th.
The event is from 6pm until 8pm at Ocean View Golf Course, and will feature Professor Jeffrey Sammons, from New York University, and Mr. Kim Swan, JP, MP.
This event is free to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
