Morning Troops!

Here we are again, halfway through another Bermuda-ful week and another upcoming holiday weekend to look forward to.  Still don’t have plans yet?  Well, I guess that’s why I’m here – here are the latest Bermuda events:

Open Mic Night at Hog Penny

Open Mic Night at Hog Penny has now moved to Wednesdays to coincide with Harbour Nights. From 10pm, hosts Will Black and Tony Brannon will invite any musical performers up on stage to sing, jam and entertain. No cover charge.

Tales of Cocktails

City Hall invite you to Tales of Cocktails: Classic Cocktails Happy Hour on Thursday, June 13th. Whether you’re interested in corporate networking, casual socializing or just a little cocktail experimenting, from 5pm until 8pm, you can enjoy music by VIBE 103 DJs, cosmopolitans, mojitos, martinis and more, celebrity star models, and a business card draw for prizes. There is no cover charge so you just have to purchase drink tickets on the night.

Reefs

The Reefs are supporting local charities in a unique way with their Guest Bartender events on Thursdays. From 7pm until 9pm, $1 from every beverage sold in their main lounge area/bar will be donated and for June, The Sunshine League has been chosen as the beneficiary. Each week, there will be a different guest bartender assisting Mike Pitt their Head Bartender. On Thursday, June 13th, it will be Rachel Sawden, on Thursday, June 27th, it will be me (my bartending skills are appalling so it will be good for a laugh if nothing else) and and on the other two Thursdays, it will be a member of the staff or the board of The Sunshine League. This is an easy and fun way to support Bermuda’s oldest charity while unwinding at the end of the day.
