30 colleges from the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean along with the Bermuda College will be on the island to meet and recruit prospective students at the Bermuda International College and University Fair on Wednesday, November 30th.

Refreshments will be served from 5.30pm until 6.15pm, with the event itself running from 6pm until 9pm in the Berkeley Institute Gymnasium.  From 6pm until 7pm, a panel of local presenters will share information about scholarship applications, the US and UK application processes. They will also give tips for parents and students about navigating the college fair and the college planning process.

This event is free and open to the public.

Bring your dinner and a blanket and join Bermuda National Library Youth Services for an evening of stories, music and magic at Family Story Night on Thursday, November 17th.

This will be from 5.30pm until 7pm in the Youth Library Auditorium.

The cost is $5 per family and registration is required.

It always amazes me how a one-hour time change can throw me off by three or four hours – ugh, hope you’re all coping better than I am!

Get ready to jump on board and welcome the world to Bermuda in 2017 as you find out more about how to become an XL Catlin FirstMate and volunteer with America’s Cup in Bermuda at three information sessions on Wednesday, November 9th, Tuesday, November 15th and Wednesday, November 16th.

These sessions will run from 6pm until 7pm at XL Catlin in O’Hara House, where you can learn all about the 25 categories of volunteering.  A range of exciting and versatile volunteer roles are available throughout America’s Cup.  From on water Course Marshals to Corporate Hospitality hosts, from Media Operations to Wayfinders – there’s something here for everyone.  Applications close on November 30th.

These sessions are free and there is no need to RSVP.

Good news reminder – just in case you’ve forgotten, we have an extra hour of sleep/partying this weekend!  For most of us these days, that just means that we need to remember to change the times on our ovens and cars, since everything else pretty much takes care of itself automatically.  It might be a little more work if you still own a sun-dial…

Learn more about the incredible works of the 2016 Bermuda Biennial at the latest in the series of BNG Art Talks: Understanding the Artists’ Process on Wednesday, November 2nd.

From 12.30pm until 1.30pm at the Bermuda National Gallery in City Hall, you will hear personally from Biennial artists Michael Walsh and Christina Hutchings, who will share their artistic processes.

The 2016 Bermuda Biennial is sponsored by Bacardi Limited.
