Cook and Dine with Wild Edible Herbs right near the waterside on Wednesday, June 20th.

From 6.30pm outside of the World Heritage Centre at Penno’s Wharf in St. George’s, you can enjoy a cooking class followed by dinner by the water.  The menu is all vegan and gluten free dishes all made from wild edible herbal plants that grow wild around the island.

The cost is $65 per person and all participants must register to attend.

Tobacco Bay are excited to work with Scribbles Art Shack as they offer their Sunset Paint Night on Friday, June 22nd.

From 6pm until 8.45pm, you can enjoy oceanside art night with a la carte food and beverages by their cafe.

The cost is $45, which includes paint and all supplies, and 32 spots are available.

The First Church of God on Angle Street invite you to a Night of Song, Dance, Mime and Sign on Friday, June 22nd.

From 7pm, some of the participants will include Hermine’s Faith Mime Ministry (Vernon Temple), Marsden Methodist Praise Team, Five Keys (First Church of God, Angle Street), First Church of God (Sound View), and Judah Smith-Dyer on Guitar.

A free will offering will be taken in aid of their Annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) Camp from July 9th to 14th.  This will be at Darrell’s Island for ages 5 and up.

Catch The Big Chill every Sunday for Sundays at The Loren.

This will be from 2pm until 5pm at the resort’s Pink Beach Club, so you can come for their delicious Sunday Brunch and stay for the great live music.

There is no cover charge and this event will continue weekly until the end of August.

BUEI Screens presents The Death of Stalin on Sunday, June 24th.

The one-liners fly as fast as political fortunes fall in this uproarious, wickedly irreverent satire from Armando Iannucci. Moscow, 1953: when tyrannical dictator Joseph Stalin drops dead, his parasitic cronies square off in a frantic power struggle to be the next Soviet leader.  This R-rated comedy has a running time of 106 minutes.

The film begins at 5.15pm in BUEI’s Tradewinds Auditorium. You can even make a night of it since Harbourfront are offering a 10% discount (food only) to anyone dining there before or after the event.  Reservations are required.  Please mention the lecture when booking to avail of the discount and note that it cannot be combined with any other special offers. Tickets are $15 each, $12 for students, and are non-refundable within 24 hours of the event.

All are welcome to enjoy an evening of invigorating music at the Coral Beats Samba and Reggae Concert on Sunday, June 24th.

From 7pm until 7.45pm in the Phoebe Purvis Memorial Hall at Warwick Academy at Coral Beats, Bermuda’s all female powered percussion band, will perform their new repertoire of songs.  The band specializes in the Samba, Reggae rhythms of Brazil.   Mestre Bola will be conducting a 4 day workshop with the group this week which will culminate in the performance.

Admission is by $5 donations at the door, $10 for families.

Emmanuel Methodist Church invites you to their Raise The Roof Concert on Saturday, June 30th

From 7.30pm at the church, the concert will feature artists such as Shani Smith, The Ambassadors, Charo & Friends, Emmanuel Trio and many more. The emcee for the evening will be Pastor Cyril Simmons.

Tickets are $25 and this is a fundraising event to repair the church.

Kids aged 4 to 12 are invited to join the Bermuda Gymnastics Association Summer Camp 2018 from Monday, July 2nd to Friday, August 31st.

Based at their premises in St. David’s, half days will run from 9am until 12.30pm or from 12.30pm until 4pm, while full days will be from 9am until 4pm.  Each week they will have a different theme and an outing at the end of the week to match the theme.  There will be no Camp running the week of Cup Match.

The weekly cost is $305 for full days, $205 for half days.  If you sign up for the 1st week, you will get the half day price of $205.  Transportation from town will be also available for an extra $65 a week for full day sign ups.  To register, visit www.BermudaGymnastics.bm.

With the theme, 24/7 Jesus Makes a Way Every DayRadnor Road Christian Fellowship presents their Vacation Bible School from Monday to Friday, July 2nd to 6th.

This family fun  and fellowship week will run from 6pm until 9pm nightly and is open to all ages from 2 to 102.  There will be Puppet Ministry for early birds at 4.30pm (you are encouraged to bring a snack) and a light dinner served nightly.

You can also expect crafts, bible stories, music and prizes. Presentation Night is on Friday and points are awarded nightly for those with a bible, who bring a friend, collection and class participation. Certificates of participation and trophies are presented on the Friday night.

There is no cost and you can sign up for single days or the full week.

Under the distinguished patronage of Lt. Col. Edward Lamb and Mrs. Ruby Lamb, The Berkeley Educational Society presents its 4th Summer Jazz Jam on Saturday, July 7th

From 7pm on the Upper Courtyard of The Berkeley Institute, this event is in celebration of The Berkeley Institute’s 120th Anniversary Year and dedicated to the memory of the late Mrs. Edwena Smith, long-time chairperson of the Programme & Legacy Committee of The Berkeley Educational Society.

Hosted by Patrina Paynter, it will feature The Unit, Phiemma Caisey, Elton Richardson, The Blues Beat Band, Malik Alick, Tylasha DeSilva, Angelis Hunt, Jeremiah Samuels, Quinn Outerbridge, Lauren Genevieve, Leviticus, and others.

Tickets are $60 for Patrons, $30 for general admission, $20 for seniors and students, and are available from The Berkeley Institute (Ms. Anderson on 292-4752), www.BDAtix.bm, or from berkeleyeducationalsociety@gmail.com. Proceeds will be in aid of the students of The Berkeley Institute.
