Free and specifically geared towards the Island’s seniors, the Department of E-Commerce will host the third annual Safer Internet Day on Wednesday, February 22nd.

From 10.30am until 1.30pm at Cathedral Hall on Church Street, Safer Internet Day will aim to remind them of the many ways to stay safe online. A light lunch will be served.

Although the use of the Internet and related technologies is increasingly convenient and prolific, so are its dangers. Many scams specifically target senior citizens.

On Safer Internet Day, visitors will interact with professionals from the Cybertips team, the Bermuda Police Service, social media expert Stephanie Lee, and the Bermuda National Library, who, together with major sponsor Clarien, will share tips and tricks on how to safely enjoy the many benefits that technology brings.

This event is free and is sponsored by Clarien Bank.
