January 21st, 2015: Bermuda Events Update

I know people in colder climates scoff at us for saying things like this but I’ve been feeling pretty chilly lately and am already looking forward to Spring! Luckily, there are lots of things to do in Bermuda over the coming months to take my mind off of it. Keep active, keep warm! Apologies to anyone reading this from outside of Bermuda who is now irritated at me and thinking about how they had to dig their car out of snow this morning. I guess you’ll just have to plan your next trip here soon:

 

0124 Outta Bounds Live at the Mariners Club

Dance the night away to Outta Bounds at the Mariner’s Club on Saturday, January 24th.

Arrive early for cocktails from 6.30pm and then from 8pm until midnight, you can enjoy live music from the 60s, 70s and 80s to present day. The Mad Hatter’s snack menu will also be available for purchase.

Tickets are $25 per person, which includes 2 drinks.

Well, we’re almost halfway through the first month of the year – let’s just be optimistic and say that Summer will be here before we know it!  Here’s the latest on Bermuda 2015 events:

 

0114 Chef Table at The Reefs

The Reefs invite you to join them for another great Chef’s Table Event on Wednesday, January 14th.

Starting at 7pm, the dinner will feature an inspired multi-course menu with wine pairings for each course. Space is limited so make sure to reserve your spot early. The menu can be viewed online at http://issuu.com/viewdocument/docs/rfschef_tabl_1-14_15/0.

The cost is $110, plus tax and gratuities.

January 7th, 2015: Bermuda Events Update

Happy New Year, Kids!

 

Hope you all had a great celebration and that 2015 has been treating you well so far!  This is the first working week of 2015 for most of us but please remember to thank our friends in the hospitality industry who work so hard while the rest of us are letting our hair down.

Anyway, it’s a brand new year so here are some of the latest Bermuda events for 2015 for your consideration:

 

Event

Learn how to write fiction, anecdotes, poetry and much more at a Creative Writing Course from Wednesday, January 7th.

This will take place in the top floor office at Daylesford Theatre from 7pm until 9pm. Whether you want to sharpen up a piece for publication, or simply enjoy writing for pleasure, you will learn techniques that will make your writing the very best it can be.

This is an ongoing course, and the fee is $95 per six weeks.

December 24th, 2014: Bermuda Events Update

Happy Christmas Eve, Bermuda!

 

Well, it’s that time of year again!  This is my last post of 2014 so I just wanted to wish you all a very merry Christmas for tomorrow and a very Happy New Year when it comes! And if you don’t celebrate Christmas, then I hope you enjoy the happy vibes at this time of year. Be good to each other and I hope 2015 is your best year yet!

1216 Mommy Says Book Signing

Bermudian author Rosheena Beek will be signing copies of her book, Mommy Says!, at The BookMart in Brown & Co from Tuesday, December 16th to Thursday, December 18th.

This will be from noon until 2pm on each of the days. The following is a Facebook message from Janiece Montoya,Mental Health Counselor, working with delinquent mentally ill adolescents for the Third Way Center in Denver, CO. :

“Hey former school counseling classmates and teachers, Rosheena’s books are amazing on every level. I created a bibliotherapy school counseling lesson plan for “I Find it So Hard” and will gladly pass it along. Just inbox me your email if I don’t have it and I will send it ASAP. Rosheena is truly an amazing writer and your students will grow and learn from the experience.”
