Many of you have enjoyed one or more of their 15 flavours and over 50 toppings already but Yo Cherry, Bermuda’s first self-serve frozen yogurt and bakery, are celebrating their Grand Opening on Saturday, November 16th. This will be from 1pm until 2pm and Premier Craig Cannonier will be cutting the ribbon. For more details, contact 292-2020.
Hope you all had a great holiday weekend. Did you know that today is World Kindness Day? Sounds like a great excuse to spread a little extra love to whoever you cross paths with today so why not make the most of it and make someone smile? Anyway, here’s what’s coming up in Bermuda:
As part of its Art of Music series, the Bermuda National Gallery presents the 3rd Annual Music Nite, re-interpreting the visual arts through music, on Friday, November 15th. This will run from 5pm until 7.30pm and the inspiration for this year’s music nite is the current exhibition in the Watlington Room featuring art created by women artists in the BNG’s collection. For this event, a variety of female musicians were encouraged to create and perform new music across all genres. Not to exclude the men, there is also an opportunity for a male composer to write music to be performed by a female. Performers include Kate Ross & Friends, Ashanti ‘Princess Black’, Tiffany Paynter, Kassandra ‘K Gabrielle’ Caines, Imari Golden, LaTannia Ellerbie (Bermuda School of Music), and Leah Amaral, Zoe Smith and Friends (Bermuda High School). Tickets cost $50 for members or $65 for non-members. For more information, or to reserve tickets, contact Lisa Howie at director@bng.bm or 295-9428.
Well, I think it’s safe to say that the rest of 2013 is NOT going to be dull with all the events that are coming up. There’s sure to be something for everyone in this latest round-up of things to do in Bermuda – the hard part is choosing:
Gillian Outerbridge is currently exhibiting Morning Walks, St. George’s, a collection of photographic images in Homer’s Café at Masterworks which opened on Friday, November 1st. The show will run until Tuesday, December 24th and artwork is available for purchase. For more information, contact 299-4000 or artmworks@logic.bm.
Hope you’re all having a lovely week so far! There are a LOT of Bermuda happenings coming up so let’s get right down to it:
