Happy Thanksgiving Eve Kids!

I’m not quite sure why we celebrate American Thanksgiving here but hey, any excuse to have a roast turkey dinner is absolutely fine with me!  Here is what’s happening in Bermuda:

The Tree Lighting Ceremony for the 18th Annual Tree of Lights, a memorial tree which stands in front of City Hall, is on Friday, November 23rd at 5.30pm and will include performances from Saltus School Choir, Shacobi Basden, Bermuda High School Choir, Menuhin Foundation, Bermuda Regiment Band, Bermuda Island Pipe Band and a special appearance by Santa Claus!

Gents, not long to go until you can shave again!  In the meantime, there is a Movember Wii Sports Night at Warwick Seventh-day Adventist Church Hall on Saturday, November 24th. This event is especially for men but open to all and from 7pm, you are invited to either bring your friends or join a team when you get there.  Refreshments will be available and donations in support of Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre are appreciated.  For further details, contact sdwc8181@gmail.com.

Still not got Thanksgiving plans?  Landfall Restaurant in Hamilton Parish are offering both dine-in and take-out options for tomorrow.  The dinner menu is $38 plus gratuity and the takeout menu is $25.  To contact them, call 293-1322.

Lido Restaurant at Elbow Beach are also offering a Thanksgiving menu tomorrow night from 6.30pm until 9pm.  For soup or dessert only, the cost is $10, the main course only is $30 and the full menu is $46.  For reservations, call 236-9884.

Bermudian reggaelutionary, Uzimon is releasing his 3rd studio album, Showdown, and is celebrating with a Bermuda Album Release Party at Docksiders on Saturday, November 24th.  Doors open at 9pm, opening act Another Plane Crash start at 9.30pm, and Uzimon and his 5-piece NYC touring band will perform from 11pm.   Sure to be a future Grammy winner! Tickets are $20 in advance (sold at Docksiders) or $25 at the door.

The Bermuda Society of Interior Designer (BSID) presents a Holiday Wreath Show and Silent Auction at the Bermuda Society of Arts Gallery from now until Tuesday, November 27th.  BSID members, Industry Alliance members, friends and local artists have created this series of whimsical, dramatic and playful wreaths to be sold to the highest bidder as a benefit for the Eliza Doolittle Society and BSoA Scholarship.  Silent bids on all wreaths are accepted until 5.30pm on Tuesday, November 27th. For more information, email info@bsid.bm.

again be celebrating the spirit of Christmas in international style at their ever-popular KatKids Club Christmas

Vibe 103’s DJ Chubb, Bermuda Donquili and the Bermuda School
of Music, and Jon Beard will host the live and
