Enjoy a Movie Night with the Human Rights Commission at Your Library on Thursday, December 10th.
From 5.30pm until 7.30pm at Bermuda National Library, you are invited to join HRC representatives as they celebrate Human Rights Day in Bermuda.
Admission is free and light refreshments will be provided.

Shop carefully selected vendors for fabulous finds while enjoying musical selections by Justified Piano Services students at Bermuda National Library’s A Holiday to Remember on Friday, December 11th.
From 6pm until 9pm at the Adult Library on Queen Street, this event will feature authors, artisans and entrepreneurs.
In addition, Mwalimu Melodye Micere Van Putten will be launching her newest book.

All bargain hunters are welcome at the Car Boot Sale at St. Anthony’s Church on Saturday, December 12th.
This will run from 9am until 3pm and a hot lunch will be available for sale.

Bermuda National Library presents the latest in their Bermuda Connections Series as they invite you to join author and executive member of the Bermuda Historical Society, Dr. Martin Brewer, on Saturday, December 12th.
From 10am until 2pm, this book signing event will feature the release of his new book, Shakers and Movers: Earthquakes and Tsunamis Felt in Bermuda.
This event is free and the book will be priced at $35.

Guaranteeing that you will finish the class with treasured hand made items, Studio 8 Glass invite you to try your hand at their Glass Jewellery and Fusing Lessons on Saturdays, December 12th and 19th.
The initial class at 4pm is approx 2 hours long, during which you will learn the glass fusing basics and see all the possibilities.
You then return for a finishing class the next day from 4pm until 5pm (flexible) when the glass is cooled. In this class they mount the pieces to turn them into pendants and they finish two pieces for you, free of charge. Generally you make around 6 to 8 pieces but not all of them may be practical as jewellery. This second class takes around one hour, depending on the number of people.

‘Tis the Season for a Holiday gathering so the Bermuda Society For The Blind invites members, clients, and others who are have lost or are losing vision to join them for an evening of fun at their December Holiday Social on Monday, December 14th.
This will take place from 5.30pm until 8.30pm at Cathedral Hall on Church Street. They look forward to seeing old friends and welcoming people new to the Society (Registered Charity #90) who would like to learn about the organisation, its programmes, and the people it serves.
The evening will include a light supper, games, music, and lots of fun. Transportation may be provided if necessary. Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Lions Club of Bermuda Share The Christmas Spirit food hamper programme.

Showing for one night only, the art exhibit Inner Child, An Exploration of Self will take place on Tuesday, December 15th.
From 7pm until 9pm in the Aquarium Hall at the Bermudian Aquarium, Museum and Zoo, this is Velina Wheatley-King’s first solo art show just in time for the holidays. The event is an opportunity to buy unique locally made art, including Ink Therapy (a hand-drawn colouring book), canvases, originals, prints and more. Sales will be by cash or cheque only and the dress code is Smart Casual.

Bring your whole family to enjoy an afternoon of fun at Shredding Games on Friday, December 18th. **UPDATE: This has been postponed until Sunday, January 10th**
Running from noon until 4pm 1pm until 5pm in the Common Room at Somersfield Academy (there will be signs showing the way), this event will include an art gallery, silent auction, video games, and skateboarding.
Hosted by Hailey Barbosa, this public event is for a mandatory personal project in MYP 5, the last year at Somersfield.
There is no entry fee and everything is free. For the silent auction, you will just write your bid and contact details, and the money will be required when the winning bidder is announced in early 2016.

To offer a little extra support at what can be a difficult time of year, Alcoholics Anonymous are hosting their Annual Candlelight Meeting on Friday, December 18th.
From 5.30pm until 6.30pm at St. Paul’s in Paget, you can participate in an open AA meeting with candlelight. All are welcome and you are invited to come early for food and fellowship, stay late for service and clean up.
There is no cover charge, but donations are accepted at the end to help pay rent, buy coffee and tea, etc.

The Choir of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church present their Annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 20th.
From 6pm, this concert will feature guest artists Professor Hanan Davis (Soprano), Jarrett O’Neal (Tenor), Tislam Swift (Tenor), Tracy F. Johnson, Jr. (Bass), and Tyler Jacob Hill (Bass/Baritone).
Special guests will be the former Police Choir and Sandy’s Secondary Middle School Band under the direction of Mr. Sheldon Fox, II.

Chef Chiko will be giving back to the community once again by providing free meals for those in need at Chiko’s Smokey Rub 2nd Annual Christmas Charity Event on Wednesday, December 23rd.
This will be from 5.30pm until 10pm at Albuoys Point. Last year he and his team of volunteers fed 452 people. A donation box was also on site and $1000 was raised and donated to The Eliza Doolittle Society.

The Reefs invite you to come ring in the New Year with them with one of two options on Thursday, December 31st.
Firstly, from 6pm, you can join them for Dinner followed by Drinks and Dancing to the tunes of DJ Travis. The menu can be found here and the cost is $115 per person, plus gratuities. The dinner will also be included in their special NYE staycation package which, for the price of $399 plus tax and grats, includes the room, dinner and party, and breakfast the next morning. You can also add on an extra night for only $100 more, either before or after the 31st and this includes breakfast as well.
Alternatively, you can join them for a special Chef’s Table at 7pm. This fantastic last meal of 2015 will feature 11 courses paired with wines, and includes all the festivities and party after the dinner. The menu can be found here and the cost is $200 per person, plus gratuities.

Kids aged 3 to 8 can have fun while learning the importance of teamwork at Sportz Mania’s 2016 Winter Multi-Sport Programmes running every Saturday from January 23rd until March 12th at Dalton E Tucker Primary.
