June 28th, 2017 Bermuda Calendar Update

Good morning!

Hope you all are having a good week and aren’t too bummed out about the result of the America’s Cup. With the AC having finally come to a close, things should be back to normal soon – and there’s still plenty to do in Bermuda! Here are the latest events that have been added to the Bermuda Calendar since last week. Bringing you yet another inspiring and educational event, BUEI Talks presents: Race For Water … The Odyssey on Thursday, June 29th.

Join them for an unforgettable evening as hear about the mission, journey and achievements of the Race for Water Odyssey. Find out what it’s like to journey around the world fuelled only by sun, sea and air from members of this epic vessel’s crew. Hear first-hand about their scientific results out of Bermuda. You won’t want to miss this unique opportunity before they depart on the next leg of their expedition around the world.

The lecture starts at 7:30pm in the Tradewinds Auditorium. Harbourfront are offering a 10% discount (food only) to ticket holders dining there before or after the event.  Reservations are available from 5pm for the sushi bar and the full menu will be available from 6pm – please mention the lecture when booking to avail of the discount and note that it cannot be combined with any other special offers.  For dinner reservations call 295-4207.

Tickets for the lecture are $20 for members, $25 for non-members, $10 for students and are available by calling 294-0204 or visiting BUEI’s Oceans Gift Shop. Tickets are non-refundable within 24 hours of event.

June 21st, 2017 Bermuda Calendar Update

Happy Humpday!

It’s Bri again, covering for Claire who will be on maternity leave for the next three months. Not to worry though, here are the latest events that have been added to the Bermuda Calendar since last week. And as always, don’t forget to check out the quick re-cap section at the bottom of the post for a full list of all upcoming events including those previously covered in previous posts.

 

 

Join a group of friendly expats and locals living in Bermuda, and enjoy a summer evening chilling out over the South Shore at InterNations Bermuda Chill Out at Henry VIII on Thursday, June 22nd.

This month, they will gather from 6pm until 9pm at Henry VIII restaurant, where you enjoy of the musical talents of The Big Chill, as you dance the night away.

At InterNations no-one stands alone, so you can feel comfortable coming on your own and be guaranteed of good conversation and new connections, or feel free to invite friends.

There is no cover charge so attendees will just have to purchase their own drinks. Bar food will also be available for purchase.

Yes, it’s another busy one!

Bring the whole family to wander back in time and uncover the mysterious stories that shaped Bermuda’s rich maritime history at Pirates and Plunder on Wednesday, June 14th.

From 11am until 4pm in King’s Square and Ordnance Island, you can celebrate a day in St. George’s with non-stop entertainment,re-enactments, privateer navigators, cultural games, interactive performances and musical entertainment. This pirate-themed event will have something fun for everyone to see and experience.

There is no cover charge.
