Good Morning Bermuda, 

Here’s your weekly update with all the latest events to the Bermuda Calendar since last week. As always, make sure you scroll all the way down to the Quick Recap Section at the bottom of this post, to see upcoming events that have been covered in previous posts as well.

We’re officially sliding into the Holiday Season now, and I’m sure some of you out there are planning some exciting events. Be sure to let us know so we can help you spread word! The Bermuda Garden Club is hosting an Open House & Gardens for the public at Palm Grove House and Gardens on Saturday, November 23rd.

From 10am until 3pm, they are offering guided walking tours of the property, as the house will be fully decorated. The event will feature a Craft & Bake stall, promising lots of great Christmas gift ideas, including garden-related items for purchase. A children’s planting area will be set up so they can also take home their own plant, while The Bermuda Rose Society will have potted roses for sale.

Keith’s Kitchen food truck will also be on site.

Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for students between the ages of 10 and 18 years, and free for children under 10 years.

November 13th, 2019 Bermuda Calendar Update

Good Morning, Bermuda!

All are welcome to attend the Hamilton Parish Council Public Meeting on Thursday, November 14th.

On the agenda will be the council property and sale of land, Shelly Bay beach development, scholarships fund, solar crossing lights, parish clean up and Senior’s Tea.

The meeting starts at 7pm in the Education Room at the Aquarium. Refreshments will be served.

We’re already into the month of November and you know what is right around the corner – can you believe it?!?!

But before you get too excited and start humming carols, take a look at all of the new events which have been added to the Bermuda Calendar since last week and make sure to check out the Quick Recap Section at the bottom of this post for a full listing of all upcoming events, including those previously covered in previous posts. Remember – we still have Thanksgiving to get through! And there are already a few ideas for where/ how to to spend it listed below if you’re interested.

Discover the benefits of student life at MSA, and their internationally recognised Canadian Alberta Curriculum at the Information Sessions & Tour of Mount Saint Agnes Middle and High School on Wednesday, November 6th.

The sessions are from 5:30pm until 6:30pm. Meeting point is at the school office.

As the island prepares to welcome the PGA Tour, The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs invites you to learn about the life and legacy of the iconoclast Bermudian golfer who led the charge against segregation in golf at Louis Rafael ‘Kid’ Corbin: Breaking Golf’s Colour Line in America, Canada and Bermuda on Wednesday, October 30th.

The event is from 6pm until 8pm at Ocean View Golf Course, and will feature Professor Jeffrey Sammons, from New York University, and Mr. Kim Swan, JP, MP.

This event is free to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

The Bermuda National Gallery presents Michael Walsh at the next event in their ongoing lecture serieson Thursday, October 24th. **UPDATE: Postponed until November 14th** 

Join them at the gallery on the second floor of City Hall, for the an in-depth look at this Bermudian artist’s work, and the inspiration behind his engaging sculptures, performances and drawings.

The event begins with a reception at 5:30pm, followed by the lecture at 6pm.

Tickets are $10 for BNG Members, $15 for Non-Members, and available online at www.BdaTix.bm.
