Happy Hump Day, Troops!

 

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend with only the good kind of mischief! I could definitely get used to a four-day working week, although catching up with all of Monday’s work on a Tuesday is pretty tough.  Here is the latest rundown of Bermuda events to get your through to the next weekend:

 

Teen Pregnancy Prevention Campaign Quiz

Calling all 13 to 19 year olds – you are invited to visit the Teen Services Information Booth on Front Street at Harbour Nights on Wednesday, June 19th to take their Prevent Teen Pregnancy Quiz.  This will be running from 6.30pm until 9pm and teens who complete the  questionnaire will be entered into a draw to win one of two iPod shuffles and a $50 iTunes card.  All entries will receive an instant prize.  This is part of the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Campaign and winners will be announced on Monday, June 24th.  For more information, contact 292-1175 or teenservices@northrock.bm.

Here we are again, halfway through another Bermuda-ful week and another upcoming holiday weekend to look forward to.  Still don’t have plans yet?  Well, I guess that’s why I’m here – here are the latest Bermuda events:

Open Mic Night at Hog Penny

Open Mic Night at Hog Penny has now moved to Wednesdays to coincide with Harbour Nights. From 10pm, hosts Will Black and Tony Brannon will invite any musical performers up on stage to sing, jam and entertain. No cover charge.

Happy Hump Day, Kids!

 

It’s already halfway through another beautiful week!  Hope you’re all making the most of the summer as it seems to be going by in a flash.  Here is the latest round up of what’s going on in Bermuda:

Ciroc Launch

Red Steakhouse & Bar invite you to the Exclusive Launch of CIROC Vodka on Wednesday, June 5th. The event is sponsored by Gosling’s and introduces this ultra premium vodka, which is the only one to be made entirely from grapes. It is also made from all natural ingredients, five times distilled, cold fermented and 100% gluten-free. The event kicks off at 10pm with music by DJ SiiD James, an exclusive Oyster Bar by Executive Chef Veronica Mal and her team, samples of 3 specialty cocktails made with CIROC Vodka, a media wall where guests will be free to take pictures and encouraged to post via social media (twitter, Facebook, instagram etc) and themed “RED” lighting with high cruiser tables on the patio. Bottle Service will be available with a minimum of 2 bottles and reservations are recommended. Entry is free and reservations can be made by calling 292-7331.

Muse Rooftop Skybar presents Muselectric, the only underground electronic party in Bermuda, on Friday, May 31st. From 9pm until 3am, this event will feature music courtesy of DJ Tanz from Chewstick Lounge and DJ Daesmith. There is no cover charge.

Morning all!

Hope you’re all excited for Bermuda Day and that you have big plans for the day off – if you are working on Friday, I hope you are being paid very well for it.  Either way, you can officially get back in the water now so let the summer fun begin!  Here is the latest listing of Bermuda events to get you started:

BSOA

There are new exhibits now open at Bermuda Society of Arts (BSoA) in City Hall. Due to popular demand, the Onions Gallery will be extending their exhibit Heritage Month: Colours, Sights and Sounds of Bermuda, by another three weeks. This is a collaboration between City Hall and BSoA that coincided with the City Art Festival and has a focus on the beauty of Bermuda and the art it inspires. The Edinburgh Gallery will showcase Suspended in Time by Emily Bierman, inspired by dreams, memories and perception. Studio A is exhibiting At My Brother’s Birthday Party, a collection of works in acrylic by Amanda Perry and Studio B is displaying the work of Kayla Jackson, a student artists whose work is mainly illustration in mixed media, watercolour and acrylic. All exhibits will run until June 4th.
