August 16th, 2017 Bermuda Calendar Update

Good morning ladies and gents!

Summer is starting to wind down now but never fear, there are still plenty of fun things to do in Bermuda. Here are the latest events added to the Bermuda Calendar since last week. The Department of Health is taking it to the streets, offering Free Health Checks to the public on Friday, August 18th.

From 4pm until 8pm at Albuoy’s Point, adults 18 and over can get their blood glucose and blood pressure checked, as well as cardiac profiling and other health monitoring.

Two other free health checks will take place on Friday, September 1st (Dr. E.F. Gordon Square, Hamilton) and Friday, September 22nd (King’s Square, St. George) also from 4pm to 8pm.

August 9th, 2017 Bermuda Calendar Update

Spend your Saturday nights under the stars with great music, food and a family atmosphere for all to enjoy as the Simons Brothers Band host their Saturday Summer Night Live Road Show 2017, running weekly from Saturday, August 5th until Saturday, September 9th.

This event will take place from 8pm until 10pm at a different location each week: August 5th at T N Tatem Middle School Field, August 12th & August 19th at Shelly Bay Field, August 26th, September 2nd & September 9th at venues to be announced.

Featuring the Simons Brothers Band along with other local talents, you are invited to bring chairs and blankets to sit on as you enjoy the concert. There will also be food vendors and special raffle prizes to win.

August 2nd, 2017 Bermuda Calendar Update

Happy Hump Day!

Wednesday, also known as Hump Day, is the perfect day to kick back and relax and celebrate that the work week is officially halfway through, so be sure to check out Wine Wednesday at RED starting on Wednesday, August 2nd.

July 26th, 2017 Bermuda Calendar Update

Excited yet? Cup Match is right around the corner and the Bermuda Calendar is already packed with lots of fun things to do. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear new scientific findings from lionfish expert Dr. Corey Eddy, as BUEI Talks presents: Lionfish, Dusky Sharks, Hogmouth Fry…Oh My! on Thursday, July 27th.

Dr. Corey Eddy looks beyond the infamous and invasive lionfish to explore other species in our ocean.

The lecture starts 7.30pm in the Tradewinds Auditorium. Harbourfront are offering a 10% discount (food only) to anyone dining there before or after the event.  Reservations are available from 5pm for the sushi bar and the full menu will be available from 6pm – please mention the lecture when booking to avail of the discount and note that it cannot be combined with any other special offers.  For dinner reservations call 295-4207.

Bring your football cards and your best team to participate in the Match Attax / Card Swap Day on Saturday, July 22nd.

From 11pm until 1pm at the Youth Library on Church Street, boys aged 6 years and older can choose their best team, swap cards and make deals, to beat their opposing team.

The cost is $5 and registration can be done at the Youth Library.
