A great event for Bob Marley fans, and there can’t be many people on this island who are NOT Bob Marley fans, Veterans in Action presents A Tribute to Bob Marley on Saturday, February 2nd to mark what would have been his 68th birthday. This will be at the BAA Gymnasium, gates open at 9pm and featured entertainers include Ras Shiloh, Mikey General, Black Star, Conscious J of Irie FM, Luicano, Flookie, Junior C, Shine Hayward, Rivah, and Shorta Ranks.  Tickets are $35 and available from Kit ‘n’ Caboodle, Fish ‘n’ Tings, Monday Shop, Somer Supermarket and all Belvin’s Variety.

 

 

Not just for football fans, Margarita’s Grill are hosting a special edition Super Bowl Sunday Party on Sunday, February 3rd.  The cost is $35 and the ticket includes one complimentary drink, a light buffet meal, photographer and photo booth, drinks specials, bottle service, cheerleader serving service, a raffle and entrance to the afterparty with Rusty G from 11.30pm until late.  For more information, call 296-3330.

 

 

 

If you’re the type of person who enjoys reading with a glass of wine in hand, then you’ll love The Book Cellar’s Wine Tasting with Discovery Wines on Friday, February 8th.  From 6pm until 8pm, you can sample some of  the great wines Discovery Wines has to offer. Something a little bit different for Valentine’s Day, Secrets presents Intrigued, a women’s empowerment sexuality event on Saturday, February 9th.  This will be in Inferno Lounge from 8.30pm and will include seminars on erotic massage, chair dancing, pole fitness, tantra, mini makeup demos and a 50 Shades Corner by Secrets.  The cost is $55, or $50 for Inferno members, and attendees can expect drinks, hors d’oeuvres, an erotic gift bag and an after-party with DJ D Nice from 11pm until 3am.

 

 

The Docksider Pub & Restaurant will be holding their first Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras Party on Tuesday, February 12th. They promise boobs(?) and beads on the door, a special Hurricane drink, a whole New Orleans-style menu, pancakes for Shrove/Fat Tuesday, music by DJ Smokey and beer pong.  The New Orleans-style menu includes items such as crab claws, Cajun catfish, seafood gumbo, alligator bites and more.  Entry is free and kids are welcome to come along for food or pancakes.

 

Made your Valentine’s Day dinner reservation yet? The Point Restaurant at Rosewood Tucker’s Point are offering a special Valentine’s Day menu on Thursday, February 14th. The four course menu includes a complimentary glass of rosé sparkling wine and is available from 6.30pm until 9.30pm. The cost is $90 per person, excluding gratuity and beverages.
