Morning all!
Hope you all had as many delicious pancakes as I did yesterday (although that is very unlikely as I was a bit of a glutton). Now, for those of you who observe it, we’re onto Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. I can’t believe that Valentine’s Day, the festival of love and chocolate, is during Lent this year! 🙁 I think chocolate-lovers who usually give it up should get a special exception just for this one day. Anyway, what is there to do in Bermuda in Winter? The answer is LOTS:
Ten Cafe & Bar invite you to a special evening celebrating a rarely available kind of pork at their Pigs & Pinot event tonight from 7pm. Pure-bred Berkshire Pigs are fed on acorns only for the last 100 days to impart them with a unique flavour, are only available for 21 days and the farmer only feeds 100 animals in such a way per year. Chef Mike will create 5 courses to be paired with 5 pinot noirs from Burrows Lightbourn. The cost is $75. Spaces are limited but you can book your spot by contacting 295-0857 or ten@yellowfin.bm.
